18th February 2018 at 10:02 am #15878Gareth Bale? No ! thanks please. Isco or Asensio yes. but we can’t have another injury prone player. we have Barkley already in our hands, and our doctors are busy with him. i can’t see Chelsea accepting that kind of deal. its time that Marina sharpens her negotiation skills. to pull off the best deal possible.

18th February 2018 at 12:48 pm #15886AnonymousChelseaman… I’d take 170 million and Bale… Not sure about this ansenso fella, good but he’s playing in a Micky mouse league and anyone playing in it looks like a god. Messi wont ever leave La Liga because he’d be found out like he has been at every World Cup or qualifying match he’s been involved in… Crash, just chucked the hand grenade into the room.

re : Anyone else wondering if Pogba was really sick yesterday?
Absolutely.Two reasons.
1) When JM ripped him a new one after the Newcastle defeat?
2) When he found out what Sanchez was earning?

18th February 2018 at 1:21 pm #15889442-Teams should PAY Real Madrid to keep Bale, let alone pay them for that sicknote.Ceballos,Kovacic,Isco, and Asensio, are players I would be interested in.The rest are either not good enough[Carvajal,Casemiro],or past their best. Some even extremely overrated.i.e.Kroos,Varane!

18th February 2018 at 1:48 pm #15890AnonymousI really hope Liverpool don’t struggle to hold onto Salah this summer. Surely a huge bumper contract is in order? If Real Madrid really are after him it’s not gonna be easy. If we can do well in the Cl though and of course get in the top 4 (preferably 2nd) then he might see this as a place to be. . . but I thought the same about Coutinho with us qualifying for the Cl and then making the knock outs.
He talks about being happy here and staying for years but so did Coutinho , just 6 months before handing in a transfer request.
Its great to have one of the best attacks going but jesus, the struggle to hold onto players can get a bit much.
Do you lads think Liverpool might have the power to keep him? Do you think offering him £300k/week might help things?

18th February 2018 at 2:22 pm #15891Mav and PPT. Well i have heard the rumours about falling out with Maureen and not getting his preferred starting position and not liking Sanchez earning more. But ive not heard the Madrid rumours. The thing is despite being a City fan and always having a wry smile on my face whenever i hear rumours of discontent at OT. I am struggling to truly believe any of them. Surely he cant be unhappy on 250k a week? He was perfectly happy on it when he joined United so what difference does it make if Sanchez is on more money. Cant he slot into a different midfield role? Surely he is capable of that its your job you get on with it and play where the manager wants you to? And why would he suddenly want to play for Madrid? Perhaps I am wrong but I seriously just dont think footballers are all that shallow. Jim

18th February 2018 at 2:52 pm #15893Mak, I don’t see Salah going this summer if Real are really interested then they will probably want to see another similar season from Salah especially given the likely fee Liverpool might demand.
Plus even Real only have a certain budget to spend and seemingly they are looking elsewhere.
Always a worry though when one of the Spanish giants show an interest in a player because few players turn them down.

18th February 2018 at 3:22 pm #15894Mak-I too reckon that Salah is not going anywhere this season mate.As 999 explained,Real Madrid would want to wait for Mo to have @ least couple seasons like this one before making a move!

18th February 2018 at 3:29 pm #15895I would rather see Chelsea take cash payment if the deal includes Bale. at 29 yrs and injury prone, it won’t help us. and Real Madrid wants to take him off their wage bill. we can’t be paying fortunes to a player who is injured most of the time. and not getting any younger. on the other hand Isco has been crown prince of the Spanish national team. he is the heir apparent to Iniesta. but some how Zidane doesn’t know how to get the best out of him. and Madrid has super stars who will eclipse him. but at Chelsea he will have the main man tag when Hazard leaves. and he takes the no 10 shirt and role. i would rather have Isco and £100million than a £100million and Bale.

18th February 2018 at 4:18 pm #15898AnonymousChelseaman.. just to throw it in the mix with bale… I reckon he can play almost anywhere… I’d like to see him in a number 10 role behind a striker like morata or giroud.
Why? It was a ten minute spell for Wales where he dropped into midfield. He pulled all the strings and kept trying to play the liverpoool winger, 16 year old or something, can’t remember his name… but everything good in that spell went through bale.
id have him in a heartbeat. Quality pro. Be a massive positive influence in the dressing room.
Plus, I think he would, when injury free, score more and assist the team more than what hazard does at the minute. Just food for thought on the other side to the game he has. Proven to destroy teams single handily in the Premiership as well.
Only a year between bale and hazard as well. However, the above is written as a fan. If I were the club I’d simply take the money. Neymar cash would be acceptable imo.

18th February 2018 at 4:58 pm #15901Bale will be 29 in July, plus is very injury-prone in a league like the La Liga! Any team going anywhere near him will be crazy and will get burned big-time.Really hope United stay away from Real players bar Kovacic,Ceballos,Isco, and Asensio.

Whilst i can see where you are coming from. but you know this league is always unforgiving. you can’t measure the success that you had in the past. a good example of that was the Fernando Torres of Liverpool and the Fernando Torres of Chelsea. quality player at Liverpool but a pale shadow of his former self at Chelsea. so i don’t think we can measure him what he has been doing 5-6 years ago. he will be five year older. and in case if you don’t know Bale are the kind of players that rely pace. and at 29 will he have that? i can tell you he has technical ability like Hazard and Isco posses. his is to rely more on pace. and the injuries he has had for the five years at Madrid may rob him some of that, i’m skeptical about that kind of player. but i stand to be proven wrong. i was against Matic when we bought him back. and i was forced to eat my words. similarly i was skeptical about Luiz, the same happened. but i can’t see Bale succeeding at Chelsea. i would rather have Isco, that is my preferred player. most Chelsea fans prefer Asensio. but i’m a massive fan of Isco. he is purely technical player.

18th February 2018 at 8:17 pm #15928“In football anything can happen. But in football nothing can happen too,” he told Telefoot, per Goal, when asked about a move away from England.
“Every year they talk about Real or PSG. And when I want to change clubs, I will. But at the moment I’m good where I am. I still have two years left on my contract. I feel very good over here. Eden Hazard.

18th February 2018 at 8:25 pm #15930I would really worried about taking Bale fully fit he’s good enough but Chelsea bought a ruined by injury Torres from Liverpool and look how that worked out.
I would say steer clear.
The only positive in this story if accurate is that it values Hazard at circa £180m.

I’m not a believer of sideshows. Hazard wants to stay at Chelsea, he should stop giving interviews and sign the contract. and didn’t Hazard said when Neymar was sold for that world record fee of £196m, that he will be more than that? if we get that £180m for Hazard, as much as i hate to admit this. we should cash him and reinvest it back. even if its a £100m and Isco or Asensio its a good deal. Hazard has served us well for us. and is very important to our team. but if we get that £180m its time to cash him. that money is too good to be turned down.

18th February 2018 at 9:43 pm #15937“I’m not a believer of sideshows. Hazard wants to stay at Chelsea, he should stop giving interviews and sign the contract.” 100% agree CM.
On a separate note very unsure about the rumoured connection to Aguero as part of a swap for Hazard I’m a massive admirer of Aguero but he will be 30 before the season commences and any further strengthening City is not a good idea imho.
