I’m not going to back the media. we all know what they are like but regards Spurs, you lads entered the conversation on merit. You’ve twice been just a few matches of mathematically being top. This late in the day and also with all that’s been said about Liverpool and City being this and that to get so many points, you’ve got to give your team credit. Nobody else was in with a shout.
Not a great weekend for either side but worse for ye of course. I was a believer but I’ve been turning back in on that over the last month or so. The most disappointing thing about this weekend was the actual match itself. The quality of football from both teams was just terrible. I regretted wasting my time watching it.
At least we’re not behind City yet but it’s only a matter of time. We just don’t have the mentality to push for results. Klopp talks about hunger and anger etc.. where is it? We should be striking fear into the opposition, not struggling with it ourselves. Couldn’t put a pass right yesterday though!
Anyway I realise this is a Spurs thread, so if anything, this shows you how insecure we are about our ability to win the title also.

25th February 2019 at 7:15 am #34279Micky… we’ve been punching above our weight for a few weeks now with some last gasp and possibly undeserved victories since the YooUtd loss (the one were Emoji-man went all Mr. Messi.. 🙂 ) , it was only a matter of time before it came crashing back down to earth. Our next two games pretty much sum up the season as far as I’m concerned against Chelsea and the Arse. Lose both of them and we’re right back in the mix for 3rd and 4th, rather than being in no-mans-land.
Ironically, I think it was the week and a half break between games that done us more than anything (and not being able to handle the Pogba-esque Route 1 tactics from Burnley), we’re definitely a team that works better with a regular rhythm with games I think.

25th February 2019 at 8:44 am #34289AnonymousMak , Liverpool are in a good place, not playing blinding football at the moment but still top of the pile . Spurs have missed a few chances to get closer to the top 2 but if you told me at the start of the season we’d be 3rd 6 points off top I would have suggested a good GP.We made a huge mistake not keeping Dembele till the end of the season add to that Dier’s injury, Wanyama’s injury and loss of form which left us stretched. Having to rely on Winks, Disco and Skippy is an ask too far,but either of them next to Dembele would work for me.
The club in general and Levy specifically need to take a good hard look at themselves with regard to transfers and the new ground, I’ll leave it at that._____________________________
