Everton is generally the early retirement home for English players who failed to live up to their early potential like Alli. Wouldn’t put it past them to go in for him. West Ham otherwise. Failing that, a club like Dortmund might be good for him to rediscover his old form with some other English players around him

17th July 2020 at 9:05 am #130288Anonymoused – ndombele is a strange one. definitely got talent, but he’s lazy and doesn’t seem at all interested in putting any effort in or getting fit. cant have a 60m asset being paid 200k+ a week that cant play for more than 30 minutes. I would be happy to see him go.
sean – the results against the big team’s aren’t good. we beat city (i think this was under Jose) and arsenal and drew with united. think we lost the rest. I’m not too upset about those now because as I said i think we are lightyears behind the teams ahead of us and the squad needs replacing.

17th July 2020 at 9:07 am #130290Anonymousi think there will definitely be takers for alli. he’s only 24 and there is still an exceptional player in there. he may not go to the elite (barca, real, juve, bayern) but he’s much better than mid table.

17th July 2020 at 9:49 am #130314Can’t see anyone paying big money for Dele Ali but I could see Jose moving him on Ndombele’s value will have reduced substantially and then there’s the Cov19 effect.
Challenging transfer window for Jose imo I don’t think he will be given much of a transfer budget and he will be challenged to try and generate additional funds from sales which won’t be easy.

17th July 2020 at 9:58 am #130321Ndombele’s value may of declined but he is still highly rated. Heard the Barca are interested in him and even klopp has admired him in the past. There were rumours of a loan deal to LFC and whilst I cannot see Spurs sanctioning loaning a high value asset to a Premier League rival I could see him going on loan to a top level European team. A loan would be especially good for teams struggling due to the pandemic and might increase his value for when Spurs can sell him.
Ali was once regarded as one of the country’s top young talents and I was gutted we missed him to Spurs. He was a boyhood LFC fan I think and even Gerrard mentioned the club should of gone for him as his replacement but they baulked at the reported 5m (!!) initial fee. He just hasn’t pushed on enough from his early days, maybe a case of believing your own hype that you’ve made instead of striving to get even better?

18th July 2020 at 4:25 pm #131281I’ll always have a soft spot for Jose. I genuinely can’t wait to see the Spurs documentary! ?
Spot on from Jose. (Warning – don't play this out loud at work or in front of children). pic.twitter.com/UuhXUCF7GO

18th July 2020 at 7:20 pm #131346Seems to be liked far more by spuds fans than he ever was united fans
Spose you support what you have but many tunes seemed to have changed ?
I remain unswayed that he is a tool ?_____________________________

19th July 2020 at 7:51 am #131610To be fair Stevo the same happened at United where Jose’s biggest critics became his biggest converts and the match going United fans remained behind him right until the end chanting his name.
He was hated by Spurs and United fans when he wasn’t their Manager but we all love our own especially when they might deliver a trophy or two.
You’re right though he does have the ability to be a complete tool and I used to dread his pre and post match press conferences at Chelsea particularly in his second period.

19th July 2020 at 8:17 am #131620Stevo always happens man and itโs totally understandable
If jose is successful spurs fans wonโt care less how he acts
Jose made Chelsea a world class club. A major force in England etc
He did a brilliant job there but nine, had his reputation been tarnished there over the years mate because heโs managed utd /spurs ???
What is supposed to be Chelseaโs proper London Derby? Is it West Ham?
I know the Chelsea/ spurs abd Chelsea/spurs Gabeโs are huge but who are Chelseaโs real derby opponents like spurs are arsenals?
Geographically Fulham is the one close to the bridge?
Just wondering

19th July 2020 at 9:10 am #131639Sean. Jose managing United and then Spurs certainly hasn’t endeared him to Chelsea fans.?
Personally I will always be grateful to Jose for what he did for Chelsea and the winning mentality he introduced into the squad in his first spell was probably the foundations on what our success was built on after he left that first time.
Bringing Jose back to the Bridge for a second time was probably a mistake albeit we won another PL title and a League Cup during his second tenure.
It’s a bit like when your break up with a nice looking girl but get back together again later on when you’ve forgotten all the reasons why you broke up in the first place and then they all return again after a while to confirm why you broke it off.?
It wouldn’t happen but I wouldn’t want to see Jose ever back at the Bridge again but I’ll always be grateful for his contribution especially the first time around.
Chelsea’s London Derby with the biggest edge has always been Spurs I don’t know why I think it probably dates back to the first all London Final in 67. Cheers 9’s

19th July 2020 at 9:57 am #131655Not sure he was as liked or supported by the majority of united fans?
But itโs funny to hear years of comments about him change when I takes that fans club!
I still think he is a very good manager but past his best
He had the cash at United he doesnโt here by any stretch but he has most of a very decent 11 including a top top scorer
Results speak tho I guess

19th July 2020 at 1:33 pm #131704Stevo. the match going fans continued to chant Mourinho’s name mate right up to the end which suggests they were still supportive of him.
United fans forums it seemed weren’t for him towards the end and there were uncertainties at the beginning too which United fans settled in their own minds with the view of “oh well if he brings us trophies I can live with it” which didn’t differ too much from what some of the Spurs fans were saying at the time of Mourinho’s appointment.
But if there’s no sign of trophies at Spurs then I don’t think many Spurs fans will stick with that philosophy.
But if there’s obvious progress next season even without a troohy then maybe they’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. I guess that means Spurs getting back into the top 4 again at least if there are no trophies which won’t be easy.
I certainly wouldn’t rule out Spurs winning a domestic Cup or the EL though next season. Cheers 9’s

19th July 2020 at 2:39 pm #13171727, You may be right about Jose & next season ,but the large majority of Spurs fans I know don’t like him or want him at WHL.
They may change their minds if he wins something but I can’t see happening, and if he doesn’t, will there be an exodus of our best players fed up with negative football, that’s my fear._____________________________

19th July 2020 at 3:23 pm #131729Shiney,like it or not buddie I tbink you’re stuck with him I can’t see Levy paying out big compensation again on his own appointment and as Jose had pointed out since he came to Spurs they’re in 4th place based on results under him despite the injuries.

20th July 2020 at 9:21 am #131996Anonymousanother win, another 3 goals, another 2 for Kane, another clean sheet and up to 6th in the league. the team looks more aware of their roles and the counter-attacking is working. I’m sure if there wasn’t a 3-month break then we possibly would have finished lower down but Jose has made the most of it and the squad is building some confidence. hopefully levy wont look at this and say we dont need to spend, because we really fucking do!
