Amazingly since Coutinho left Liverpool he’s won 2 La Liga titles and 2 Copa Del Rey’s at Barca and the CL, a League title and the German Cup whilst on loan at Bayern.
Not to shabby!

6th January 2022 at 6:14 pm #193018AnonymousHe’s won them, technically. He has been a shadow of his LFC self. He scored a few important goals in Bayerns CL win though I think but still.

6th January 2022 at 7:47 pm #193024“He was some omelet for us”
Now I don’t know if that’s some cute quirky Irish saying or just another one of Sean’s legendary typos.

6th January 2022 at 8:23 pm #193026AnonymousDon’t listen to him, it is an actual Irish saying. Meaning that a few basic qualities can add up to something great.

7th January 2022 at 10:45 am #193038Loan move until the end of the season with an option to buy. Good deal for all parties.
The Gerrard factor!
Be good to see Coutinho back in the PL on his day he’s a wonderful player I hope it works out for him.

8th January 2022 at 8:03 pm #193118AnonymousSeriously, what a signing. My concerns before were on a full transfer but a loan is amazing. It is a loan to buy for around 33m euro too. So, they get to try before they buy for a potentially great price, whilst being able to spend somewhere else also.
What a coup. Well done Gerrard.
I honestly can’t wait to see him play for them and will watch their next PL match.

10th January 2022 at 5:41 am #193185I’ve never bought into the hype around Coutinho. I mean he is incredible at scoring screamers from outside of the box, but other than that I don’t see (and never did see) what all the fuss is about.
He is yet another piece of proof to me that Klopp is just incredible at getting the most out of players. Klopp makes players play above their class. I also never bought into the whole “Gini is world class” hype. I think he was a good player, but pool fans were lauding him as world class and one of the best in the world. Since leaving pool, he’s gone the same way as Coutinho and just continues to make me keep that belief about Klopp. If we look at it from the other way around, I never thought much of Ox (I still don’t to be fair) at Arsenal, but Klopp has him playing the best he ever has._____________________________

10th January 2022 at 7:45 am #193186No fee, £120k pw and try before we buy for Coutinho seems like a no brainer for Villa to me. Let’s wait and see where this sits in May.

10th January 2022 at 7:59 am #193187Foxy, that’s often been the case with players who have left Dortmund also, whether under Klopp or since he left. Nuri Sahin, Mkhitaryan, Kagawa, Dembele. All looked like superstars at Dortmund and all flopped massively since leaving.
I definitely think there’s something about playing in that kind of system and just really suiting it, making players look better than they are. I’ve never rated Henderson playing for England. I reckon he’s one of those players who you wouldn’t notice if he was at a Burnley type of side. But he just really suits a Klopp team.

10th January 2022 at 8:44 am #193189😆 yeah that was a risky move Harry. See it more as praise of Klopp rather than criticism of Henderson.
