No, in a traditional midfield three in a 433 system, you have:
RB—–CB—–CB——LB
———-DM———–
——8—————-
————10———
-RW—————–LW-
———-S————There’s been a recent trend that variates that 433 to look like this and what ManU have been operating under Ole:
RB—–CB—–CB——LB
——–DM—DM———
————————
———-10————
-RW——————LW-
———–S————When they put those formations on the TV they look like a flat midfield, for graphic purposes, but the above is what they teach you on all the official licenses

3rd February 2022 at 8:03 am #193987Slightly off of topic but the Super Computer has predicted the final PL table:
City
Liverpool
Chelsea
SpursIs the prediction for the top 4 with City PL Champions
With Watford, Burnley and Norwich relegated with Newcastle finishing 17th.
????????

3rd February 2022 at 9:00 am #193988Nine just out of curiosity how often has the super computer been correct let’s say in the last 5 years? I don’t know myself just curious.

3rd February 2022 at 10:56 am #193989Rover, no idea mate. The S.C.is just a bit of fun though to get people talking that’s all.
Having said that I think that’s probably how the top 3 will finish, predicting 4th place is a bit more difficult and in the relegation places I can see Newcastle getting out of it just given their signings, Dyche has been there before and Burnley have games in hand? And Watford have Hodgson now which maybe gives them half a chance?

3rd February 2022 at 12:53 pm #193991On glance somewhere I saw City predicted for 94 Points. Definitely possible.
I was hoping to find the computer to be able to doctor in my own predictions π

3rd February 2022 at 1:49 pm #193992So now Lampard has Ashley Cole which already includes Paul Clement, Duncan Ferguson, Joe Edwards – all first team coaches – and Head of Performance Chris Jones along with Alan Kelly, the goalkeeping coach. What exactly do all these coaches do?

3rd February 2022 at 2:09 pm #19399394 points for City would be a big challenge Nil it would mean Liverpool having to probably achieve 95 points ie 47 points from 48 points still to play for. Liverpool are still in the race though unlike Chelsea.π

3rd February 2022 at 3:33 pm #193994Definitely a strong Chelsea flavour in Frank’s Coaching staff but you would expect that can only wish them all the very best Ashley Cole needed a senior appointment to develop further and the Everton appointment gives him that.

3rd February 2022 at 5:03 pm #193995Nine, I wouldn’t completely rule out Chelsea from 2nd mate. Liverpool can easily drop points even with games in hand.
I was looking at City’s fixtures. I think they’re on 3 or 4 weekends in a row on TV – exciting fixtures but I think if they win them all and get to 22 or so wins, the Leagues effectively sewn up. If they keep up that kind of form, by the time they play Liverpool, it’ll likely be for them academic, though Pep being Pep will go for a points tally.
Cheers

3rd February 2022 at 5:20 pm #193996Nil, can’t see Chelsea finishing above Liverpool mate tbh I will be happy with 3rd place this season given everything.
The City v Liverpool game at the Etihad in April will be a massive one if Liverpool are still in touching distance then.
