It could be an exciting one despite it being a tough transfer window to trade in.
Lots of rumours doing the rounds one of which is that PL Clubs plan to refuse to sell players to Newcastle???
Mind you if Newcastle bid Β£100m for Barkley I can’t see Chelsea turning that down.πππ

11th November 2021 at 7:51 pm #188843“Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement for a fee and contract details to make their first signing of the January transfer window.
The Blues have a number of contractual issues at the back that they are trying to deal with, but a couple of situations there now look up in the air, so this report could have some legs if Chelsea are looking to make some contingency plans in defence.
According to CNN Turk, Chelsea have agreed a β¬23.4m fee with Fenerbahce to sign centre back, Attila Szalai.
The 23-year old Hungarian international has also agreed a contract at Chelsea according to the same report ahead of a January transfer to Stamford Bridge.
He will reportedly sign a six-year contract with Chelsea and receive an annual salary of β¬4m.
This isnβt the first time we have seen these links with Chelsea and Szalai, so it might be worth keeping an eye on.β
Seems logical as a replacement for Rudiger should the stand off continue with his contract???

11th November 2021 at 8:57 pm #188849City will be looking at succession signing, KDB, Fernandiho Laporte,Walker, Mahrez will need back up, Probably Fernandinho will find a job within City, KDB has another two year in him if managed and Mahrez will go.Laporte will go to Spain. We know Sterling is on the way out Walker could possibly go as well, so, City will be looking but I guess the big moves will come in the summer not January but at the same time would not be surprised to see any of them go. Good planning needed

8th December 2021 at 10:12 am #190834Reports suggest unhappy Georgi Wijnaldum could find salvation with Newcastle. Now he could be a great signing for Newcastle should it actually happen?

8th December 2021 at 11:53 am #190837According the teh syber fish wrappings, us Spuds can expect a fair bit of movement, both in and out. Quite looking forward to it for a change.
As for the Bone Saw Boyz, even if the rumored unofficial transfer ban isn’t true, they should be lubing themsleves up as they’re going to be rogered good and hard by everybody… ironic considering their owners views…

8th December 2021 at 12:57 pm #190838Brian, I suspect Haaland will be on Cityβs radar for the summer. They still havenβt replaced Aguero, and contrary to the idea teams donβt need strikers anymore, I think any top team would want Haaland. You always want a player that can pull a rabbit out the hat when nothing else seems to be working.

8th December 2021 at 1:44 pm #190839It is very difficult for any Club to do meaningful business in the January window either in or out Clubs rarely sign the players of the quality they would look to sign in the Summer in the January window because generally they aren’t available. Clubs rarely let their best players leave in January.
Newcastle are desperate and have to do some business to plug the gaps they clearly have, they will struggle to buy players of the quality that they would likely look to buy next Summer.
Winjnaldum would be a good buy for Newcastle imo this January if they can get him.

8th December 2021 at 1:46 pm #190842Be suprised if Haaland doesn’t end up at Real I don’t think City especially Pep will want to get involved with Raiola.

8th December 2021 at 2:07 pm #190844Agree with that Nine. Pep and Raoila won’t do business together. I think City may go for Vlahovic though.

8th December 2021 at 2:09 pm #190845I still think Bayern is the most realistic move for Haaland. He steps straight into Lewandowski’s shoes who I think may be sold on. That or he goes to PSG as a statement signing in the event Mbappe goes to Real. I wouldn’t rule out Chelsea either who I think may come to rue the decision to bring back Lukaku and eventually move him on. Mourinho to Everton and bring Lukaku back with there with him? Wouldn’t rule it out!

8th December 2021 at 2:58 pm #190846Ed,I can see Haaland at Real but you certainly wouldn’t rule out PSG or Bayern. Chelsea unlikely imo as is a move to the PL especially given his wages and Raiola.
If City sign Vlahovich in January as they well might the PL title race is probably all over bar the shouting.

8th December 2021 at 3:14 pm #190848Sorry Sweedy, but I’ll rule out Maureen and Lakakisikkiikuu to Everton in January, and I’ve even raise you a “rule it out forever”… then I’ll have some of what you’re smoking please! π

8th December 2021 at 3:48 pm #190849Sorry, yeah forgot this was January. Obviously won’t happen in Jan, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see either Jose or Lukaku go there in the near future.

8th December 2021 at 3:56 pm #190850Jose to Everton would be like jumping from the frying pan to the fire.
Personally I’m not writing off Lukaku yet it started off very well then he had a bit of a poor run and then he’s been injured he’s consistently scored goals and once match fit I can see Lukaku getting back amongst the goals.

8th December 2021 at 4:17 pm #190852No I think he’ll still get chance to prove the doubters wrong Nine and he may well do that. Chelsea are just so ruthless though and it wouldn’t surprise me if Chelsea decided Lukaku didn’t quite cut it.
Opportunities like getting Haaland at his alleged release clause don’t come around very often and I don’t think Chelsea would hesitate for one second if they thought they could get him and get a decent enough fee for Lukaku with little or no money in between. It would be a loss on Lukaku but a huge gain overall as you’re potentially getting a Β£150mil player for half that in Haaland (at his release clause). Let’s face it. He was probably first choice last summer.

8th December 2021 at 4:40 pm #190853Not that it would happen, but I’d even swap Sir Harry for Haaland… but I really would be surprised if he came to the Prem if I’m honest.

8th December 2021 at 4:43 pm #190854Personally, I’d be happy with Bale coming back, one of these midfielders and two of the CB’s we’ve been linked too and see Winks, Ali, Bergwin, Sanchez leave…
All unlikely for sure, as Puppyov (Sponesered by Skybet) has said on nuermous occassions, bloody hard to do business in Jan… although it seems just about every player we’re linked to are out of contract in the summer anyway… rather than players with 2/3 years… time will tell!

8th December 2021 at 4:49 pm #190855I think Lukaku struggles more than most with his fitness when injured. He’s starting to look like a retired Lennox Lewis again. When he gets match fit again I’m sure he’ll start to bang in the goals.
Don’t be thinking Haaland will be a bargain. Raiola will demand a humongous agent fee and signing on fee for Haaland plus insane wages. The release claus just means Dortmund get less a share of the cost than they would expect. It will still be well over 100m to get him.
