I doubt Conte would put up with Bale Chucky! He’s arguably even more demanding of players than Mourinho. He wouldn’t put up with his silly off the field antics either. Playing games on the bench (bottle flipping ๐) and his silly binoculars thing he did on the bench for Zidane. Conte would have him gone in no time. Horrible attitude to the game.

23rd December 2021 at 10:07 am #192109No, I’d have loved him at Utd in his younger years but I’m kind of glad he didn’t come as his attitude is really poor and we’ve enough of those and had enough of those through the years. Says everything you need to know about him that he was on the verge of retiring to China at, what 30/31?

23rd December 2021 at 11:57 am #192117Right then, we’ve had the G.O.A.T. debate (again! ๐ ), and we’ve had Bale as the most overated G.O.A.T. of all time (still think Goldenballs is in with a shout, reckon he’s only as “rated” as he is because he was on the front pages more than the back!)… let’s go with the most underated G.O.A.T. in the farmyard!!
Happily admit I’ve got my Spud-tinted goggles on here, but I’ll give you “The Moose!”… absolutely loved watching that man play and was gutted when he “retired” to China… he’s another I’d have back, stick on the bench as an option with 20 to go… cracking, cracking player who never got the credit he deserved outside of N17!!!

23rd December 2021 at 1:12 pm #192120This below is an article of the world’s greatest ever sportsmen, Pele was the only footballer in the top 10.
Pipping Mohammad Ali to the number one spot is of course the greatest footballer ever, Pelรฉ. The three-time World Cup winner, Pelรฉ is the all time leading goalscorer for the great Brazil and to this day remains the greatest goal scorer ever. Can you believe he has 1283 goals in 1363 games? A remarkable stat! Pelรฉ was an influential character on and off the field. He helped paved the way to put football on the map in America in the 70โs but his most iconic sporting moment was scoring the opener against Italy in the 1970 World Cup Final. If you were lucky enough to witness the greatest ever live you were in for a treat, nowadays all his greatness lives online for the world to see. As the say, the greats only go by one name and for us that name is Pelรฉ._____________________________

23rd December 2021 at 1:34 pm #192123Doesn’t Pele famously count goals scored in his back yard towards his tally? ๐

24th December 2021 at 9:18 am #192125Goals could have been more difficult to score in those days while defenses were not possibly as tight as today, the fields were rough, the balls were harder, and fierce tackling was allowed unlike today.
