If I remember Hightown,I think Toby got injured and spurs had changed from a back 3 to a flat back 4 by the time he cane back
Sanchez was playing well and couldn’t get back in the team. I could be wrong
I really verthoghen, think he’s a beast of a defender and I rate him over Toby but pax watches then more

HH – his lack of game time was nothing to do with ability. He got injured in October / November and was out for a few months. Then during his injury he had a falling out with poch and said he wanted out. He’s been offered a new contract and turned it down. Once a player isn’t committed to the cause under poch they don’t get minutes. Walker got dropped last season, rose (still think he’s twice the player davies is) and Toby this season. If dembele doesn’t leave this summer he won’t be getting any minutes next season either. If he goes to United they’ve done exceptionally well.

Hmmm… interweb gossip suggesting Toby is staying and signing a new deal… and if he stays the Moose will stay too.
Still say keep those two regardless, get Bale, keep everybody else and go for broke next year!!

banjo, personally i think we need big changes. would go for 2 new full backs as we are currently playing with our back up full back from 2 years ago and they just aren’t good enough, new enforcer in the middle (dier and wanyama not good enough), someone to replace dembele that will actually create and back up for kane.

I’d go along with full-backs, if we can find a decent couple, but I reckon we’re not too shabby in midfield.
I can’t help thinking teams are still going to set back against us next year, much like last year, and all that is really needed is a proper game-changer up top, somebody like Bale… but other than Bale (who did look decent in his last 4/5 games I’ve watched towards the end of last season, possibly better than Spud-Bale!), I can’t think of a realistic target.
We dropped a lot of points against teams like that. Put that right and we’ll be a lot closer to City I reckon.
