That’s genuinely impressive from Willian. To just tear up the contract without any kind of settlement is something else. Gu walked away from MILLIONS just to go back home and play for his favourite team before he retired, saving Arsenal a whopping sum in the process.

I guess he’s got many many millions already but even then, I’ll be honest, im not sure I would have walked away without asking for some form of settlement.

William never really settled at Arsenal after leaving Chelsea and he put personal happiness ahead of money good on him imo. He’s already got plenty of money and he will still be well paid by Corinthians and he will be back home in Brazil.

Crazy that we’ve almost got double what we paid for James (supposedly worth up to £30mil with add ons).

I’m amazed Lingard hasn’t been snapped up. He’d have been brilliant for West Ham, Leicester, Everton etc.

I’m genuinely shocked anyone has paid that for him Nine 😆. We’re notoriously bad at selling players. 3 players in our history have been sold for more than Dan James. 3 players!

Ed, that’s daylight robbery 😂 he is very average. I was hoping him joining Leeds night mean us buying raphfina but we won’t be signing anyone

I understand our model and how we spend money etc but klopp must be pulling his hair out. We need two players at least. Firmino is injured now for a few weeks and if one other forward gets injured, we have to look at origi coming in. He shoujd be well gone . He’s no were near good enough

I really think we are looking at 4th as our best. All others teans are significantly strengthening and we are standing still

We have two injury prone centre backs and 5 injury prone midfielders. It’s inevitable what’s coming. The manger needs to be supported. We cannot be expected to compete on all fronts when we don’t have good enough cover

Also heard on sky that real offered over 220m euros for mbappe but have walked away as PSG have failed to respond. Mbapoe will now sign a pre contract with real in January and transfer for free next summer. I know they are rich but even so. I can not believe PSG haven’t taken that.

Excellent signing for Chelsea lads. Wasn’t great last season but he’s an excellent player and maybe need to get away from Madrid

Agree Sean, I really did think something might happen today, but it doesn’t seem to be. Our back up options to bring on are Minamino, Origi & Ox, and Klopp rarely brings them on, indicating he doesn’t fully believe in them. We haven’t even replaced Wijnaldum or Shaqiri. So it seems everything rests on Jones & Elliot. Those aren’t really the actions of a club going for the title.

We did our weekly shop at Sanisbury’s on Saturday and picked up a headless chicken for £9.50, free range as well. Why didn’t Leeds know this?

Sean, after reading all the Liverpool fans (including yourself) posts today, Im starting to feel silly for saying LFC will win the PL. I refuse to back down from it, out of pure stubbornness and maybe wishful thinking that we will not pick up so many injuries but…

Yer right though, FSG have got to back their golden goose. Klopp’s dont come along every day. If they dont spend in January or next summer, I’ll turn against them. I think they will though. They would be self-destructive to not spend big within that time.
