There were some predictions of Liverpool in the top 4.
Could be an even more difficult to predict top 4 next season if Chelsea and Arsenal sort themselves out.

21st May 2018 at 9:51 pm #22010250 million so-called request from Jose – he and both the ‘world’ are going crazy. How about actually being able to develop a player for a change like he did at his first spell with Chelsea without having to opt for the finished article?
We may may not see improvement from Chelsea and Arsenal, but Spurs and Liverpool have a more of an established team and Managers.
As biased as I’ll be, if we nail the European Cup this weekend, next season will be really pushing for the League Title – ideology though, mind.

21st May 2018 at 10:05 pm #22011Adlab, there is a possibility of their fringe/squad players. Obviously somebody like Martial would be a bold move if knowing you’re bringing in quality.
It’s very well trying to swoop for the best players and formulate a team and a squad, but that takes 3/4 even 5 Windows. If Managers frequently change then that just destabilizes the squad if he then wants to impose changes.
It’s a bit of a vicious circle to me, and financial implications means pressure for a quick fix where there’s no foregone conclusion with this league overall more than ever being competitive because of the TV revenue distribution and better spending power all round.

22nd May 2018 at 8:09 am #22018We criticize Jose easily enough but letβs give him a bit of credit for giving Rashford plenty of game time and bringing the young scot through

22nd May 2018 at 10:15 am #22020Chelsea nearly always have a downturn poor season after winning the league or doing very well, Ancelotti, Mourinho, Conte and think others as well are all guilty so they are very unpredictable.

22nd May 2018 at 11:16 am #22022I’m not sure what constitutes a bad season it’s very difficult to retain the title now and Ancelotti finished second in the PL in 2011 after winning the Double in the previous season and sacking him was harsh imo.
Sacking Conte is harsh too imo because over two seasons having won the PL title and the FA Cup he’s the most successful Manager in the PL.
