Game wasnt too bad I enjoyed it even though it was nerve-racking. United finished well ahead of Chelsea in the league so they were expected to be more dominant. Both keepers I though were excellent.

Congrats to the Chelsea lads on here,but boy was this game poor,especially by United.Jones could have easy been off and Young should given away a penalty for the handball.I almost fell into coma,thats how a dire this game was.Cant wait for the CL final and to see some proper attacking football,thats why teams pay their strikers/attackers,to fecking attack.United were abysmal and Chelsea deserved it!

Commiserations to the Ed and all the grest United lads on here. Great mentality from Chelsea but it was a tough watch in the second half and had United scored they would have probably gone on to win the Cup. My seven year old Grandson loved it though.?

Phil Jones is Phil Jones and I’d have a Phil Jones, but Phil Jones ultimately is a poor man’s Steve Bruce although with Brucey, he got away with it because of Gary Pallister, but today just proved, even De Gea couldn’t do enough, to save him lol π π

I don’t think the question is whether or not he is good enough but whether or not there is anyone better who didn’t make the plane. I’m not so sure there is. We don’t have any great CBs in this England squad at all

A strange selection from Jose,don’t play your leading goal scorer Lukaku and also leave out your most dangerous attacker in Martial, I know it’s a one off game but can anyone enlighten me why ?

9,but both came on, surely you start with your best, they must of been 80% fit to be on the bench,in a one off game you have to take a risk .I can’t imagine Spurs leaving out Kane and Erikssen for a cup final even if 80% fit.Start with both nick a couple of goals then sub them off.

Bricklayers – your question about Phil Jones is a good one, but as Ed says, it’s more about the lack of options than how good Jones is. I think Smalling is a better player than Jones personally, but Southgate obviously does not fancy him. And then after Smalling you’re looking at the likes of Keane at Everton, Chambers at Arsenal, Gomez at my club (I know he’s injured) and maybe even Gibson at Middlesbrough. So on that basis I think Jones pretty much has to go to Russia, but I’d be worried if he is any where near the starting line-up.
I’d start Maguire, Cahill and Stones with Walker at wing back, and not sure on the left. I’m loth to say Young, but I have to admit he’s been pretty good this season from what I’ve seen.
