Thoughts on the alleged foul for the penalty. Yes, it appeared to be very soft. But then when you go so deep and have such pressure on you, you increase the risk of such things. Also, it was still a clumsy lurch by the defender.

As for the overall team performance. Generally pretty good again. Almost as though Sterling has gone up a notch in this tournament. Would like to have been a bit bolder more quickly to try and win it in normal time. But I’ll take it.

Not the greatest performance but have to commend the players’ attitudes! They stayed positive, which was great to see.
I thought Sterling was unbelievable. TO still be running with so much energy in the 120th min was great to see. Walker and Philips were massive too

Another good performance. Denmark had some good spells but England came from behind and after drawing level it was mainly England trying to win it. Fantastic first half of extra time too, didn’t give Denmark a kick, and then good tactics to change to a back five and hit them on the break in the second half of extra time (conceding possession but no real chances).

England’s 2nd ever final. Southgate already the most successful England manager after Sir Alf Ramsey. We’ll done to everyone in the England camp. Here’s hoping we can go one step further on Sunday.

Yeah Sean, I think we all agree it was a soft penalty. Sadly they’ve been giving those all season but I fully agree that we would be livid if it was against us. I do think we fully deserved the win though.

Doesn’t really matter mikius. It shoujd have been blown up for two balls on the pitch and it was right in the view of the linesman . The ball was in sterling’s path. Not by much but still clear to see. I spotted a Mile awY

England deserved the win no doubt. Denmark faded but Southgate invited pressure by bringing grealish off

Still job done and England fully deserve to be in the final

I thought it was a pen, I saw one angle where he blatantly got clipped. A few other angles suggested there was nothing. I do, however agree that the two balls should have been called up. Also looked like a clear pen on Kane.
Also thought Kane really imposed himself more on the game today, especially moreso in the link up play. The most we’ve seen of him in the whole tournament so far

Extremely soft pen but the decision to give a free kick leading to the one they scored was ridiculous too. Never a foul. Denmark’s goal should apparently not have counted either. Ref was poor. Unbelievable to be in the final, though, and England very much deserved it

Yeah I saw Maguire remonstrating immediately and assumed it was because their wall moved just before the kick was taken into the Eng wall. Ref didn’t seem to care, sort of makes a mockery of the system if they don’t use VAR for those moments

Play is not necessarily stopped if two balls are on the pitch if the Referee deems that the second ball doesn’t interfere with the passage of play then he lets the play continue.
