Denmark will be a good test leading up to a final, Ukraine I saw as one the weakest teams in the competition and were lucky to get so far but nevertheless England looking good and who to select for the semi is going to be a real brain twister for Southgate, I don’t think either Mount or Sancho did enough when you have the likes of Grealish on the bench for one.

Mount was involved in two of the goals blaze, he drove forward with ball before finding Shaw wide for that great cross for kane and he also was corner taker for Henderson goal and it was a proper delivery mate.

Ultimately I wouldnt argue with Southgate selections for next game whether he plays mount or not because he is always getting it right whoever he plays, and like everyone else, mount did his bit when called upon yesterday mate.

2 games back to back is enough for me. Turned everything off came on here a little bit then went sleep.

Just went down the our local waste tip after a clear-out from our Garden Shed and had Radio 5 on, and they’re analyzing Southgate. I’m thinking just leave the man alone.

I actually think if anything, his decision-making has been good, but ultimately, he’s not going to please everyone with his team selections and formations.

Brian, one or two of the female pundits I have to say have been refreshing and I’ve liked Ashley Cole and Nigel De Jong.

All the other guys that we see during our domestic campaign should be off our screens. They should take a break. I’m tired of seeing repeat faces.

Best thing is just wait till actual kick off and also restart. I just switch over.

The excessive analysis is an overkill and you’re right, they’re getting paid loads. I try and ignore them and make my own mind up and of course come on here as there are equally knowledgeable people.

Nike… I have got into the habit of turning the sound down now so I no long listen to the clap trap. The other thing that annoys me is when they start drawing lines on replays , saying something like, “they should have passed this way, orthe defensive line up/attack is not right and proceed to draw lines where they think it should be. I wonder, in there playing days did they ever do things perfectly and why try and make a science out of an art form? The reality is there is not a lot of comment to make on something that has happened, you cannot re write it. I think the ladies will do fine as pundits because they are not “Johnny know alls”. I listen a lot to GMR for City games and they are very much to the point, unlike Radio 5 who are died blue and bias, there are 22 players on the pitch and I want commentary on the game not all City

“I would like to ask the “experts” could they do a better job.” To be fair the majority of the pundits have been there and done it at the very highest level and have experience of playing in international tournaments too.

Love to see a panel from here on TV. Moos, Nil and Adlab would make a good three, good to see a couple of the anti pundits have found the off button. If you don’t like a movie you don’t watch it same applies to the pundits.😊

Pundits, do they need to be multimillionaire ex players, I’m sure there’s a plethora of highly qualified coaches out there that that could do an equally, if not better job, but then again it would go against the “jobs for the boys” that football is run on from top to bottom in this country, hence the same old faces getting managerial jobs, and only superstar ex players given any opportunities.

The most annoying thing at the moment is them banging on how it’s the best chance we’ll ever have, just another excuse for their failings when they had the opportunity…….Pagan

Brian, @ 4:50, I completely concur with your sentiments. Putting it into an analogy, sometimes, they open up a car bonnet and try and strip the engine for the sake of it.

I’m like you. I turn the sound down. I need more peace and harmony when I’m trying to wind down with a nice chilled Pint.

I think as you’ve rightly pointed out before, there is a little too much allowance of screen time. They have to pluck out something. You’d think the game was Chess with X Y Z of Strategies.

I don’t see many past footballers finding a completely different career path and this industry now I feel is saturated with bodies and opinions.

I start Chemotherapy on Wednesday just hope I’m up to watching the England v Denmark Semi Final on Wednesday night and the Final on Sunday.

I’ve got a three week break after Wednesday’s treatment ,10 treatments over 30 weeks one every three weeks I know it’s not going to be easy but I’m staying positive and thinking that it’s the start of them getting things back under control again.

I’m going to try to keep posting if I can as it should be therapeutic for me although I suspect there will be some days where I may not be up to it. If I’ve been a bit grouchy and may be a bit grouchy going forwards apologies.

Had two weeks in Cornwall returning on Wednesday which was a good boost prior to the treatment starting.

Anyone who believes in God please keep me in your prayers I’m in his hands.🙏
