What bothers me most about nil is that he comes in here the next day as if he’s fine nothing wrong
He’s going to do it again and he’s going to get banned. He just never learns.
Pity as he seems a genuine lad but he be happier if he didn’t drink
It’s a great time to be a Liverpool
Supporter at the moment. Enjoy it_____________________________

15th August 2019 at 5:04 pm #45417Anonymous“I like Nil and like Chucky, some of his rants just make me laugh, but last night was offensive and the apology this morning was a joke.”
That’s how I feel about it too if I’m honest. The apology was actually like an “Oh i didnt see you there, sorry”, as you shoulder bumped someone in the street.
Nil, you knew and definitely had the Chelsea lads in mind when you were saying how much you hate Chelsea etc. Half an apology isn’t worth shit TBH and your refusal to be humble about it means people aren’t likely to forgive you. That’s repeated incidents aside also.
if you had asked my advise before posting today, I’d have said to just apologize and directly, without avoiding the issue. I’d tell you not to talk about being irked about managers not wearing suits (wtf man?) and also all the other topics you went on.
As for pagan and Hightowns discussion about us getting this kind of treatment as a result of behavior… well maybe that’s part of the reason why I’m talking now. i definitely don’t want some tosser saying how much he hates liverpool.
Now, I’ll leave it at that.

15th August 2019 at 5:07 pm #45418AnonymousSean, it really is a great time to be a Liverpool supporter. My guess is that Nil has something personal going on. We’re one game into the new season, essentially. Don’t go off the deep end so soon Nil. You are a good poster when you’re not like this.
maybe drink 1 less beer for matchday. you’d be surprised how much better your life can be if you learn your cut-off point.

I’ll get me coat then… 🙂
I think Double H touched on a far bigger problem in the game than anything VAR is supposed to sort out, and that’s when players completely and utterly exaggerate any form of contact. We can argue until we’re blue in the face about whether the ref should have given and/or VAR should have overruled it (the open play peno that is) but everybody seems to be glossing over when a player falls down like his been shot in the first place.
I’ve played a lot of rugby and a lot of ice-hockey over the years, and it makes me quite furious when oppo players do it, and bloody embarrassed when my Spuds do it. Yet in footy, no worries pal, somebody hit with all the force of a stick of candyfloss and you have the right to go down. And gobshite players abusing the ref… at least let the refs be allowed to tell to fook-off or something!!! 🙂

15th August 2019 at 5:37 pm #45420It’s irrelevant if it was a penalty or not now. there are winners and losers now. and for the first time, I’m pleased as the losing side. I normally don’t like my team to be on the losing, but that performance last night was one hell of a performance. and I would hope the team to play like that. I would also hope that Penalty miss motivates Abraham to even greater heights this season.
As for Pulisc and Mount? I would play both of these players together on Sunday. they would compliment each other. in my opinion. with Kante and Jorginho as the two holding midfielders. with Mount as the furthest forward. Pedro and Pulisic on both flanks. with Giroud up top, and in the second half. Abraham to be thrown in.

15th August 2019 at 7:01 pm #45422AnonymousIt didn’t matter in the end but I still like to discuss these kinds of things. If we had lost, I’d be saying the exact same stuff and people would say it was just sour grapes. It didnt impact the game int he end but it’s still worthy of discussion. It’s not like we have a mountain of stuff to talk about anyway but ya.. I’m done with this. I’ll just say it was nice to win but also that chelsea have a huge amount of positivity to take away from this. I’ll have one eye on them this season, as it’s going to be a tough task but maybe they are up for it.

15th August 2019 at 8:01 pm #45423I’m not someone who likes to moan about the ref’s decision. whether it was in favor or against us. after all, that kind of things happen. and it won’t change the outcome of the game. but even if it had changed, they still checked the VAR and agreed with it. so I don’t know what other decision was there to be taken. i like to respect the ref’s decision. if a team beats us, then i assume they deserved more than we deserved. and when it goes to penalties. it’s between who can keep their nerves. credit to Liverpool for keeping their nerves cooler. although i was seeing reports in the press today that Adrian was out of his line when he saved the penalty from Abraham. but those kinds of things is irrelevant to me. once the game is over the team that wins deserves. and after 120 of a fair contest, Liverpool deserved for scoring all of their penalties.
But there was another issue that was put under the carpet. i was reading from somewhere today that Tammy Abraham was racially abused. i don’t know which side. but he had been abused according to kick it out. and that seems to become a problem in football these days. i hope those who have done it be found, shamed and banned for life whichever club they support.

15th August 2019 at 8:26 pm #45380Had to check this site out today after wide spread reports of a nuclear meltdown last night 🙂
Very pleased to find an active general page and respect to the pool fans on here who showed so much respect and class to the chelsea fans last night.
Fantastically entertaining game I thought, and as chelsea fan, all things considered, I am just delighted we managed to give you the game we did.
Congratulations on another trophy lads.

15th August 2019 at 8:39 pm #45426Hi Lucky. Good to see you over here on the light side! Your lot were a trifle unlucky last night as you were at Old Trafford on Sun. It’s not all doom and gloom at the Bridge…and with Hudson Odoi and RLC to return.

15th August 2019 at 8:40 pm #45427What did you all think of the ref and linespersons.
Score out of 10?I thought 7.5/10. Not a bad job!

15th August 2019 at 8:49 pm #45428I agree with Hightown. I can certainly see Chelsea challenging for top 4.
Pulisic is going to be top class. Only 20 but has everything in his locker to be a real hit at Chelsea.
It’s hard not to like Lampard. Going to be a very interesting season for Chelsea
I thought Jorginho got some unfair stick last season. He was following orders. He’s a very good player and had the perfect partner in Kante.
I think 4-2-3-1 suits Chelsea better with Kante beside Jorginho
I still don’t know really what Kovacic does?he works very hard but he was an attacking player but he really scored or creates chances??

15th August 2019 at 9:19 pm #45429Thanks Ed and Hightown.
Nice to see so many familiar posters that I have missed on other site, and fellow blues like Pagan and chelsea.man who I do miss on the chelsea page, nice to see you all lads.
Hey Nine, can see why you post on here mate, the other site prob better for pure chelsea stuff but I’ll be coming to this general site for match days and midweek games no doubt.
Didnt even need to sign in again, and no ads in the middle of our posts! What a privilege.

15th August 2019 at 9:29 pm #45430Yeah sean I agree re-kovacic. In todays market, especially with the transfer ban he was worth the 40m we paid on option to buy him, but I think as Ruben and mount establish themselves Kovacic will find himself back up to Jorginho, with Kante and one of Mount, Ruben or Barkley completing the midfield.
He is a good mid to have in a possession based team, can receive the ball well under pressure, beat his man and switch the play, but he is not defensively sound and is not a threat to goal either. Ruben and mount’s numbers as the games stack up will make it impossible for Kovacic to be a starter in a few months imo. I am happy we have him in squad though.

15th August 2019 at 9:41 pm #45431Mak, Hightown, to be honest Mr. Balance deserves what he gets from now on, I can’t see any abuse being directed at the general Liverpool crowd by those on here, but he may get some stick directly.
Oh and Mak the comment about any one who says they hate Liverpool is a tosser is a bit like arguing a point and saying anyone who disagrees is a tosser, you’re better than a comment like that….Pagan_____________________________

15th August 2019 at 9:49 pm #45432AnonymousHightown… RLC for me… If and when he’s back, massive change of dynamics to Chelsea’s midfield. Hudson overpaid oi… Think he’s on the Solanke path. Hope he sticks with us, but, his attitude… questionable.
Who is the youngster Brewster in your ranks, anyone able to shed some light on him?

15th August 2019 at 10:02 pm #45433442 I’m nearly sure we signed Brewster from Chelsea in 2014. He was top scorer at u17 wc. Klopp rates him highly but he has yet to make his pl debut
He’s a very good finisher

15th August 2019 at 10:36 pm #45435AnonymousAdlab, I talked about the penalty mistake but besides one poor offside incident (that was actually corrected instantly by the ref), i think the female team were excellent. I’d score them very high with an 8.5/10.
My issue with the penalty is more on VAR than on the ref.

Well, before I say how much I disagree with your statement, let me tell you that it was Nil’s comment about how much he hates Chelsea that kinda got my back up. So, am i better than that? My position on this isn’t only if they say they hate my club (in an inflammatory manner). So, no. I am definitely not better than whatever you’re attributing to my statement because your original position on it is invalid.
Given how this all built up, I am surprised that I’d have to explain my original statement in this. Does anyone else find it to be controversial? if so, then we shouldn’t be pissed at nil at all really. That just doesn’t make any sense.
I’ll say it again to be absolutely clear on this. If someone on here starts ranting about hating my club, in an inflammatory manner, yes, I will consider that person to be a tosser.
