Looks like they were, Waspy, so that’s N-Dumb, Lo Cecil and the Boy Wonder in, with Toby, Erik and Danny staying, with only Trippier actually leaving… pretty decent window from a Spud fan. Bit concerned about who is going to play RB on a regular basis, and not enough overall to chase down the top 2, but more than enough for 3rd and a damn good shot at a cup or two.

How much have Everton spent in last 3 seasons?
Pressure now onto challenge the top 6. I think Silva be sacked this season
They needed another centre back

8th August 2019 at 6:01 pm #44805Puppy, fair to say us Spuds are now abusing the system (if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em! 🙂 )… it’s a “all a within the rules” scam with Betis to cut PSG out of a wedge.
PSG get 20% of any transfer fee, but nothing for loan fees, so by loaning him for a year for a “fee” and then buying him next year for a reduced fee, means Betis don’t need to write such a big check for PSG…

8th August 2019 at 6:32 pm #44811In our as weak as school custard defence, it was PSG who started the “scam” with the M’Papapwwee scam a couple of years ago… the hunter has become the hunted and all that!

8th August 2019 at 11:23 pm #44821AnonymousLuiz a good move by Chelsea had no further purpose and holding up young players, don’t need him, might be okay for Arsenal though

9th August 2019 at 6:49 am #44826AnonymousLuiz the king defender of looney tunes football is gone again, whenever his place is in a bit of jeapordy he leaves or gossips behind the managers back. Frank Lampard has so far shown he is as brave as a manager as he was brave on the field. Obviously its going to be tough making the top 4 in the sporting worlds most competitive league but with all the talent available that needs to be harnessed its in the clubs interest to get rid of as everyone says the old furniture. It’s a new revolution and everyone should joyously be part of it without the high expectations. Forward the Blues and Sir Galahad Lampard.

9th August 2019 at 8:40 am #44831AnonymousMoos… I’m sorry i cant share your blind faith in the youth or Lampard just yet. The job he has taken over was half completed under Sarri who would have also probably had a similar clear out of dead wood this summer. It was the way things had to go.
That said, I suspect youthful legs will help in the pursuit of a top four finish, but you have to look at Arsenal and United as teams that have a better ability to get to the top four with Spurs, City and Liverpool going for the top three. These are sides who have spent money to improve squads with finished article players.
Not sure we will have the firepower, not sure Tammy or Batshuyai will score enough goals… and our defence will be shaky while Zouma and Christiensen strike up a partnership with the keeper. Then Rudiger will come back to fitness and we will go through the same bedding in process with him, christiensen and Zouma. This season is probably too much for Timori.
I am however hoping that Barkley shines. He’s had a good pre-season, looks sharp and I hope is played through the middle to his strengths and becomes pivotal. I dont want CHO anywhere near this side until he signs a contract with the club. I reckon he’ll play us until January when he can sign for free somewhere else. I said last january get rid ASAP… Sadly the fans thought it was Sarri driving CHO out of the club when in fact it was the sulky teen driving the headlines.
So, I think Lampard has his hands full. will have some difficult points this season and am hoping wont have fans calling for his head WHEN WE GO THROUGH a rough patch of form. We’re out of the running already in my mind and I expect a mid table finish… Congratulations Manchester City on yet another title. 310 million and counting on defenders. Liverpool will continue to suprise this season. Spurs to finish third, United Arsenal 4th. us around 6th being pushed by Everton.

9th August 2019 at 9:44 am #44837Buffy must be on hols, otherwise she would have been telling us how a shitty window Arse have had….
But what a brilliant window has in fact been for Arse, and it could get better still if they manage to offload Monreal,Mustafi,Mikhi and Ozil._____________________________

9th August 2019 at 12:18 pm #44844most of us not expecting too much from Chelsea hoping for a top 6 finish however it is for now the right way to go about team matters, besides the transfer ban there are restriction rules bringing in expensive classy players and not that many around anyway. Luiz while he may have a lovely character on the outside is also not going to sit on the bench for long and would soon start spewing out anti management rhetoric like most Brazilian players do and like him and Willian did when Conte did not favour them. So for now the club have done everything possible correctly. Don’t expect too much myself but hoping for the best luck possible for the team.

9th August 2019 at 1:04 pm #44845Assessing the transfer window of the top 6 I would say:
City had a just about an Ok window.
Liverpool a nothing window.
Chelsea in losing Hazard and having a transfer ban had a bad window but the returning youngsters might be interesting.
Spurs a decent window plus considering they held on to some key players that looked like leaving.
United a bit less than an ok window.
Arsenal had the best window.
