I wouldn’t have Coutinho back – we are a better unit without him, and despite him being good in many games for Liverpool he could go missing and have a stinker – and doesn’t chase down the ball.
I think we will sign a big money centre half to go with VVD, subject to Gomez fitness, and cover for left back – and maybe a creative midfielder/striker.
It was squad depth that divided City from Liverpool last season – we were 2 to 3 players short.getting Sturridge off the wage bill is also a big boost to the club.

5th June 2019 at 11:06 am #42181Buffy-I too am reading that Mbappe has indeed handed in a transfer request, would be a big shock if true.He only just joined them and wants to leave already? Summat wrong within PSG-maybe that bitch Neymar is causing all the unrest,1st Cavani, and now Mbappe?!
I really am hoping that DDG,Pogba,Lukaku,Sanchez,Martial, and a few more @ United, are handing in transfer requests. Then we can afford to let the likes of Jones,Young,Darmian,Rojo, leave on a free.ps:hows the situation with “ you are not a Coach-you are a fucking pussy” Ozil,@ Arse?

5th June 2019 at 11:41 am #42183Sean, we can’t buy mate other than Pulisic which was done in January and Kovacic if we want him as he was on loan already? But we have some good young players to come back and be intergrated into the squad assuming the ban sticks and it might be a blessing in disguise.
Sarri has to agree a deal with Juve and we’re stuck until he does that. Allegri would be my choice but I think it will probably be Frank and Jody bit early imo but there’s a great understanding of the young players between them and it’s likely Hudson Odoi will stick around if that happens too.
Big risk though just like Ole. Still think we will have enough to challenge for a CL place and a domestic Cup and as we’re in Pot 1 if the draws is favourable get out of the Group stages of the CL.

5th June 2019 at 12:30 pm #42187I think he’s looking to go to Real Madrid Mikus assuming he can get himself out of PSG given he’s got a contract until 2023. Liverpool should move for de Ligt though and maybe Werner.

6th June 2019 at 10:54 am #42202AnonymousI wouldn’t want Liverpool to pay anything near 100m. I doubt they would either though, so I’m.not concerned. I’d have him back for 50m and not a penny more. If that’s too little then it’s too little. Let him go to PSG. We can go get someone more suitable to out current setup. Someone who will work off the ball for one.

6th June 2019 at 11:03 am #42204AnonymousI don’t think we’ll sign a big CB but as you say, that’s fitness depending. I’m Hoping Gomez will be good to go again, hopefully having better luck next season. For me, he’s a top top player waiting to be realised. Matip was excellent but has been injury prone, previously. Lovren … I’d maybe replace him but with a squad player.
With Brewster coming through and Origi almost certainly staying, not sure we’ll sign anyone up top but I still think we might be light up there. Both Firmino and Salah has poorer seasons than they did last term. They may need competition to get the absolute best out of them.
If like to see us sign a top attacking midfielder. If you wanna point at differences between us and city, this is where they’ve got us. Is it VITAL? No. Midfield roles were defined and refined as the season went. There’s room for improvement with this team that did extremely well.

6th June 2019 at 12:44 pm #42209Sean stop saying deals are done when they are not. You are not an ITK. They are only done when announced by the club.

6th June 2019 at 2:07 pm #42214Back to the transfer news or not in Chelsea’s case.?
βThe Telegraph reporting that an appeal has been made to CAS, but that the Blues are ready to start the transfer ban in fear that it could be extended if they delay.
There is still some uncertainty over what this means for Chelseaβs future and the timeline over how long it will take CAS to go through the appeals process.
Chelsea have had two plans for the summer. One is whether they can get the ban frozen, while the other plan is by using the youth players and returning loanees to fill the squad.
football.london are awaiting comment from the Court of Arbitration for Sport.β

6th June 2019 at 5:30 pm #42217Still conjecture although this may shed a bit more light. Good deal negotiated by Marina if accurate.
“Eden Hazard is set to finally leave Chelsea and become a Real Madrid player.
The Belgian has stated on several occasions that it is his dream to make the switch to the Spanish club and with only one year left on his contract, this summer was always going to be the right time to move.
It has been just a matter of time until the 28-year-old made the switch and a deal was struck, but the nature of the deal can only really be seen as a success for Marina Granovskaia and the Blues board.
With only one year left, getting top money for the Belgian was always going to be tough. But Chelsea appear to have turned it into a good deal.
The Blues are set to let Hazard go for Β£88.5million (β¬100million) as a base fee, which is what Real Madrid wanted to make happen.
However, it is in the bonuses where Chelsea are really going to make their extra money back.
The deal could get up to around Β£130million (β¬146.5million), which according to The Telegraph is down to achievable clauses in the deal.
This is something that happens a lot in the modern game when it comes to transfers have become an important part of deals getting over the line.
The way that Chelsea will make the extra money will be through appearances, goals scored, assists and more, but it takes the deal in the favour of Chelsea.
Granovskaia has been a figure who has split opinion with the Chelsea supporters, who have not taken to her hard-line approach at times, with some deals collapsing because of it.
But for Chelsea, losing their star man is going to hurt, but Granovskaia has certainly got the most amount of money possible out of the deal.
Hazard was always keen on the move and it was down to the clubs to sort out the fees needed, which appears to now be done.
Of course, the Blues would rather have been able to pin him down to a long-term deal. but that was never realistically on the cards and Granovskaia has won the battle of the boardroom.” Football London.
