5th August 2019 at 10:05 pm #44533Jim I disagreed with your post and told you why. That’s the purpose of any forum.
Will do Jim. Take care mate and have a good season. A general football site is unfortunately not for everyone. You’re welcome back when ever you want

5th August 2019 at 11:37 pm #4454131 people shot dead in the US again. Bricky about to go into Hospital for a serious Op and we’re falling out about the Footie and the season hasn’t even
started yet a bit of perspective required from all of us no matter who we support. There really are much more important things in life than football!_____________________________

6th August 2019 at 1:17 pm #44570Dimitwr Berbatov believes it is βstrangeβ that Mauricio Pochettino does not have a tighter grip on transfer operations at Tottenham.
This summer Spurs have added club-record signing Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke, who has returned to Leeds on loan, while they hope to agree a deal for Ryan Sessegnon before Thursdayβs deadline.
But earlier in pre-season Pochettino launched an uncharacteristic outburst to reporters, suggesting he had lost control of transfers.
Sessegnon is a long-term Pochettino target but it is understood talks over Giovani Lo Celso, another the Spurs boss recommended, have cooled in recent days.
βA manager needs to be responsible for the players that are coming in because if you are a manager you want the player to be approved by you,β Berbatov told Standard Sport.
βIf that’s not the case and you are not familiar with who is coming and you don’t have any say in that it’s a bit strange.”
Pochettino moved quickly to play down his comments and assured supporters his relationship with chairman Daniel Levy remains positive, but Berbatov believes there is discontent bubbling under the surface at Tottenham.
“There is something going on – what is it? I don’t know. We can speculate here what it is but they need to find a solution for this problem,β added Berbatov. Evening Standard 6/08

6th August 2019 at 3:32 pm #44580Can’t see Poch leaving Spurs anytime soon. If he walked out himself, he’d get no payout (with no obvious immediate job to walk into). It he was to be sacked I doubt Levy wants to pay him off. Both Levy & Poch have somewhat locked themselves together.

6th August 2019 at 5:37 pm #44587If Arsenal get Coutinho then they’d be the neutrals favourite team to watch as every game would be 5-4 or something with their dodgy defence. I honestly think 4th place could go to one of Wolves, Leicester or Everton, assuming the top 3 is Liverpool, City and Spurs (in that order naturally!).
Echo the good will thoughts to TBA, here’s hoping for a speedy recovery!

6th August 2019 at 6:06 pm #44588threeps, be tougher this season for Wolves coping with European football in the EL and Thursday and Sunday games.
All three are a threat to the top 4 but both United and Arsenal are getting stronger albeit Arsenal still need to sign a quality Centre Back and whilst Everton and Leicester will be up there and perhaps Wolves too I can only see 4th place going to one of United or Arsenal.
