Nine, what do you mean? Isn’t he just moaning about the weather? Am I missing something?

4th August 2019 at 8:28 pm #44425As per @TelegraphDucker, #mufc have refused to meet Paulo Dybala's exorbitant wage demands.
— Samuel Luckhurst (@samuelluckhurst) August 4, 2019
Well done Utd! Finally learning their lesson to not be taken for a ride when it comes to extraordinary wage demands. Very positive sign for the club. Lukaku can do one too. Much rather have the likes of Greenwood who are hungry and want to play for the club.

4th August 2019 at 8:36 pm #44426Ed, he might be just complaining about the Manchester weather but why now and given the below it looks like a bit more than that to me.
If it’s not that it’s not very bright of him to post something like that right now and he has now deleted it.
But maybe it’s just me and I’ve misinterpreted it.?
“Pogba, Unitedβs record signing, revealed his desire to leave the club at an Adidas event in Tokyo.
He said: βFor me, I have been for three years in Manchester and have been doing great; some good moments and some bad moments, like everybody. Like everywhere else.
“After this season and everything that happened this season, with my season being my best season as well.
βI think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else.”

4th August 2019 at 9:33 pm #44428Definitely open to interpretation Nine but I genuinely didn’t think anything of it until you said it!
Interesting to see if Lukaku still goes anywhere now. Conte seems to really want Lukaku still. If he doesn’t get his man for the second time running, he’s surely going to kick off again.
As much as Dybala would have added quality, I was heavily sceptical of him coming in and it’s extremely encouraging that we’re not just bowing down to his demands. Can’t make my mind up whether we’re done in the market now or not. Might depend on whether or not Lukaku moves

4th August 2019 at 10:50 pm #44429BOOM!
Inter have bid 75mβ¬ + 5mβ¬ add-ons for Lukaku!Differently from previous bids instantly rejected, Manchester United have not rejected it, after Juventus letting now Dybala doesnβt want to move.
— Tancredi Palmeri (@tancredipalmeri) August 4, 2019
And there we have it. Pretty much what we paid for him. Looking like selling Lukaku, Rashford going as number 1 forward with Mandzukic coming in as cover. Not bad that. Interesting to see if the difference is spent on a midfielder

5th August 2019 at 9:16 am #44450So, clickbait nonsense today suggest Spuds have signed both De La Soul, and Fernando II, and Wee Erik is about to sign a new contract with a release clause for next summner… don’t know what to believe (well, I do, NONE of it! π ), but could be very interesting if all three come true!!
(And the lad from Fulham for 30m play Josh!)… (And Toby staying!)
Be pretty happy if that all happens!

5th August 2019 at 9:25 am #44451Ed, I really can’t see Pogba leaving now though.
United don’t want to sell him.
Real have run out of cash and are struggling to move players on, PSG are under the UEFA microscope and Juventus don’t have the resources to do a cash deal without making a big sale.

5th August 2019 at 10:06 am #44453Yeah that’s probably the case Nine. There’s also talk of Mourinho replacing Zidane if he starts poorly, which would surely not be possible if Pogba was to come in. If the President of Real had full faith in Zidane, Bale would already be in China and, more than likely, Pogba would be at in Madrid. If Mourinho is to relaunch his career, the last thing he needs is another war with Pogba.

5th August 2019 at 10:15 am #44454AnonymousAll of that means ladies and gents is what Pogba will turn up this season for United. On song, on form, his head right, the guy is unstoppable. Seriously impressive player as demonstrated for about ten games after Jose departure from United. Fully fit and focused he’ll pull united into the top four. off form and sulking and he can derail a season.
The league is better for having him but If I was a united fan I’d want to see the back of him…
Weve got a trouble maker on our hands with Callum Hudson Odoi. His attitude has been nothing short of despicable. It had nothing to do with the former manager Sarri as many fans will have you believe not playing him. It was entirely about his attitude. But Sarri was yet another fall guy for more player power in the dressing room.
Trouble for clubs in the day and age of over valued players contracts. Bale is another problem, Lukaku another…

5th August 2019 at 10:46 am #44456Agree with you re Hudson Odoi 442 although I wonder if his Brother might be the problem who is also his Agent and smells a big pay day for himself if he were to move to Bayern.
The indications were CHO was about to sign a new very lucrative contract and Frank couldn’t have done more to assure him of how he sees things going forward.
I don’t think we really know what was going on behind the scenes with Sarri but he was all over the place in the middle of the season and the match going fans lost confidence in him. Dragging Hudson Odoi around to away games and then not even putting him on the bench didn’t help anyone imo.
But it’s where we are now that counts new broom and all that and personally I would tell Hudson Odoi if he doesn’t sign the new contract by Friday he’s being sold. We only need players 100% committed to the Club.

5th August 2019 at 11:17 am #444584+4+2=10-I agree completely with you re Pogba & Lukaku, would just want to add DDG to that list.Except that with the doughnut thief,he has been here for years and performed heroically, whereas the Instagramvirus & the Romulan can freely feck off, never to be seen again,if you ask me.

5th August 2019 at 12:19 pm #44459AnonymousI’d not list DDG as an upstart.. hes top three keepers on the planet playing.. He looked demotivated last year and through the World Cup tbf. He just didnt take too kindly to being given a dirty sanchez, who does? Think he’ll be back to his best and perhaps wont have to carry the team. Remeber watching De Gea at the bridge a couple of years ago. Kept you in the game and you nearly nicked an equaliser.
999… CHO is a massive talent. If his brothers his agent thats his call. But whats that saying about thick as thieves. an 18 year old has just told chelsea hands up this is a robbery… get rid now before his injury heals and when he goes be glad he’s sold. He might not come back the same player either. Remember Nico Anelka’s agent was also his brother. Worked out well career wise for him but was a top end journeyman.
Editor… Cant imagine Eden Hazard would be too happy if Jose walked through Reals revolving door again. But I am enjoying the fact they havent landed all Zidanes signings. Hateful club… And I am a fan of Bale being a plastic welshman and think his treatment is almost as bad as Conte V Costa… Only difference being i still wish a comet would land on Costa. Another disgraceful piece of Sh*t to grace a football field.

5th August 2019 at 12:48 pm #44460442,I wouldn’t be so sure of that. Hazard has a good relationship with Mourinho still.
Just last year:
“If I’m now asked one coach with whom I want to work again, then I say: ‘Mourinho’,” Hazard

5th August 2019 at 1:09 pm #44461Could things not change for Pogba when Allegri replaces Solksjaer in a few months? Heβs also worked with Mandzukic.

5th August 2019 at 2:15 pm #444659-But in the case of the Instagramvirus, would you rather want to live in Madrid and finish 3rd in LaLiga,or live in Rainchester and finish 6th?Would you rather play with Courtois,Ramos,Bale,Modric,Kroos,Hazard,Benzema vs Jones,Smalling,Darmian,Rojo,Matic,Mata,Sanchez,Lingard???

5th August 2019 at 2:41 pm #44468Anonymoused… Hazard would say that as Jose brings trophies… I point you to Hazards other comments when he says he only plays for himself and the fact he all but gave up playing for him in his final spell. Lets see how he gets on with Zidane at Madrid, but he turned up looking like he’d bust a gut eating pies again.
Mav. Think Ake might have a sell on clause hence why his figure is 75 million…
But. Yes. The. Money. is. sickening.

5th August 2019 at 2:49 pm #44469442, isn’t that from the same interview though where he said he texted Mourinho to apologise for his behaviour? I think it’s hard to argue with a quote where he could literally name any manager he wanted but Jose was the one he wanted to work with again. Either way, I think Chelsea definitely got the best of Hazard and probably sold him at the right time

5th August 2019 at 3:19 pm #44470Mav, if Bournemouth have really said to Leicester Ake will cost you Β£75m that’s because Leicester are sitting on Β£85m for Maguire and Bournemouth don’t want to sell Ake certainly not this late in the transfer window. You have to question Leicester’s management of the Maguire situation if they hadn’t already earmarked a replacement at a sensible price. What happened with Dunk for instance?
Allegedly Chelsea have a Β£40m buy back clause on Ake.
