Seemingly Ole wants Rashford to be the main striker and Dybala would play off of him, Dybala and Pogba played very well together at Juve so it might help Pogba settle too.
Allegedly Mandzukic is part of the deal too he’s a bit old but could be a good plan b for United this season.

31st July 2019 at 8:31 am #44145I never watch Serie A Sean but I’ve seen him play as both a 9 and 10 in the CL for Juve. Not sure what his main position is. Definitely seen him play ad the furthest man forward though. Less so since Ronaldo came in.

31st July 2019 at 8:38 am #44146Ah ok Ed mate, didnβt realize that. Iβve never seen him Play there
He played with Pogba in a diamond.
Itβs a very interesting signing mate. Utd ciukd even go 4-2-3-1 this season with dybala as ten but can Pogba be teusy d in a 2 man midfield?very interesting
Mandzukic is a no brained. Excellent backup

31st July 2019 at 8:42 am #44147Very good article there about Dybala’s best position. From the article:
Dybala has no position. And Allegri has pretty much tried him everywhere.
Dybala is not an attacking midfielder. This is where heβs played most often for Juventus, and itβs not like heβs been bad. His brace against Barcelona last year in the Champions League may be the pinnacle of his attacking midfield performance, but what started to click at that point was β I hate to say it β the irrational, illogical connection Dybala and Dani Alves forged.
Dybala is not a right winger. Heβs quick, but not as top-end pacey as youβd like, and he certainly isnβt willing (or able) to put in the defensive effort that Allegri requires of his wings, who are pretty much on-call fullbacks as well. Even in a system with true wingers, Dybala doesnβt fit the bill.
Dybala is not a striker. Heβs actually stronger than he gets credit for, with his muscular low center of gravity, but heβs not going to provide world-class hold-up play, and he seems less interested in positional activity, making runs, etc., than in getting the ball at his feet and attacking, or at least pirouetting around a couple center backs, locating a path to goal β no matter how slim β and sending the ball through.
Dybala is maybe a shallow right winger β but what is that? The 4-3-2-1 Christmas tree is a somewhat compelling formation Allegri has fielded sporadically, and has offered glimmers of sustainability. Itβs defensively solid, and works offensively because Juveβs shiny new wingers Costa and Bernardeschi both play quite well centrally, and they do in fact have a traditional No. 9 to go on top.
Dybala is maybe a false nine.

31st July 2019 at 8:43 am #44148They still shouldnβt be utds priorities
A centre back , someone to replace Herrera and a right winger are still needed
Maguire will definitely sign
So they need two more
Bruno Fernandes is just a must. If no pl team picks him up they are crazy
Utd have the money , they need him

31st July 2019 at 8:52 am #44150I don’t think we’ll get Fernandes. According to the MEN, it’s his club who are making out that the move is nearer than it actually is, to smoke out other clubs. I think we’re more into Longstaff, who fits the young British template we seem fixated by. Both seem a huge risk as nobody knew who either was a year ago. Doesn’t seem long since we missed out on Renato Sanches and were told how big a mistake we had made. Nani and Anderson came in highly rated from Portugal, too, and failed to deliver.
I think we may have stuck with our CBs until Bailly got injured. Apparently, he’s out for 4/5 months so we’ll definitely get someone. It looks like Leicester will need to bring their price down though before Utd do business.

31st July 2019 at 9:12 am #4415199.9% sure any comments you can attribute to Poncho (or anybody for that matter with a microphone up their nose) is all simply smoke and mirrors. I don’t think chairman, managers or a majority of players give a monkeys about giving the monkeys who make up the press any decent clickbait comments, and generally say whatever pops into their head when asked a question so they can get the boring, contractually obligated, and ultimately pointless press conferences over with as soon as they can.

31st July 2019 at 9:15 am #44152Banjo, we have seen it before mate. Rafa went on a huge rant down the sane path in 07. Poch seemed incensed yday. Nothing will come out of it but plain to see heβs annoyed

31st July 2019 at 9:19 am #44153Ed, Iβm telling ya now maguire is done mate. I think utd will have to break 75m to get him. If utd donβt get him there be uproar.
You see so many transfers like this that drag out but are then finalized weeks later
Utd need a central midfielder and right winger aswel in my opinion
They havenβt really got rid of many either and there a lot of deadwood there like Rojo, Darmian etc

31st July 2019 at 9:27 am #44154I think the latest Poch rant might be down to his frustration in the Club not trying up a potential Dybala deal with the suggestion he’s now on his way to United.

31st July 2019 at 9:30 am #44155Sean, very hard to pull off the right transfers currently and to move players on too.
Chelsea need to move a few on but I doubt they will be able to do so through transfers.

31st July 2019 at 9:36 am #44158Sean, I know you keep saying that mate ?. But, Rodgers is insisting both clubs (City and Utd obviously) have only made one bid each. I can’t see any reason why it would be dragged out if it’s “done” as you keep suggesting. Surely, Utd would want him in ASAP to integrate him in preseason

31st July 2019 at 9:36 am #44159Waspy… didn’t see it live (the actual game sent me to sleep!) but the reports seem to suggest he was annoyed about getting the same questions all the time… or at least that’s my spin on it!!

31st July 2019 at 11:11 am #44163I don’t think Maguire to United is a done deal yet but I would be amazed if it isn’t a done deal before the window closes especially with Bailly out for 5 months now.
