wait till Levy starts to splash cash on wages to get or keep starts (if you actually want to win anything as a club…anything at all…)
then see how you feel when it happens to you, even though you are not and never will be a “big club” π

10th July 2019 at 10:39 am #43188Pogba has not lived up to his price tag at all. Utd remind me of Liverpool a while back. Buying really good players yet they turn out to be very average.

10th July 2019 at 10:44 am #43189Liverpool
Are playing a very risky game. Everyone is strenghting their squads and signing players even Chelsea who have a banOur front 3 are playing football 11 months now. Origi and brewster is not sufficient cover. Shaqiri is injured. Salah needed a break in feb but we had no cover
Klopp is saying itβs like we have 4 new players in lalanna, Gomez, ox and I canβt think of the other
Lalanna and Gomez both Injury prone. Ox needs of games to get up to speed
Fully trust klopp bit itβs a risk in my opinion

10th July 2019 at 11:00 am #43190Come on Buffy, you know I wasn’t talking about the Goon Show, I was talking about big clubs like Real Madrid, PSG, Dagenham & Redbridge… all your best players walk out for free and bugger off to Italy, not even D&G players do that…

10th July 2019 at 11:04 am #43191It’s a funny one with Pogba I agree, he’s not been as good as he should have been but there’s a very real prospect of United almost doubling our money on him, depending on whether or not reports are to be believed. Like Lukaku, he’s shown he’s capable of very good performances and (Pogba) was instrumental in his side winning the World Cup. Under the right tutelage and with the right players around him, he’ll be a very useful player. I actually think he’ll thrive at Madrid where he doesn’t need to do the dirty work and his Instagram lifestyle will be welcome.

10th July 2019 at 11:09 am #43192Buffy-No mate, the doughnout thief hasnt signed his new contract, and why would he? Surely even if he is so stupid to even think about signing a long-term contract, for a club with no chance of winning a major trophy, his advisers surely are not?!
And why would you sign for Β£350k p/w when in 6 months time you can sign for Juve and pocket Β£400k-like Ramsey is doing??_____________________________

10th July 2019 at 11:09 am #43193Pogba won’t be missed anyway. For all his natural talent, he’s just not consistent enough to perform in the PL. He can get away with strolling around at Madrid and displaying the odd flash of brilliance.

10th July 2019 at 11:12 am #43194Yep that’s the thing now Mav. The likes of Ramsay and Hererra getting deals at circa 400k/week will really mean clubs are going to have to be ruthless in selling players whose contracts are running down. Utd though seem unwilling to do that and face the prospect of losing him for free. Psg or Juve will snap him up on a monster contract like you say.

10th July 2019 at 2:39 pm #43199Yeah sorry for confusion Steveo. Was talking about DDG who Utd appear to be in no rush to get rid of despite the fear of losing him next summer for nothing.

10th July 2019 at 9:40 pm #43225AnonymousSean, maybe man but I guess Klopp is weighing the risk of injuries against the certainty of player happiness issues. As for Brewster, I don’t think he’s gonna be backup in the same way others usually are. I think Klopp wants to groom him for the first team and maybe that happens this coming season. You never know. Then we’ve got 4 top players for 3 p[laces, you cant have 5 top players for 3 places, it wouldn’t work.
I’m guessing Klopp’s mindset a bit here but he’s spoken about playing brewster in the first team next season. He’s made promises and it’s not for any small reason. UI’m not saying you’re wrong though. Some injuries and we could be in serious trouble. We did beat Barca 4-0 without both Firmino and Salah though. It’s only one game but ya…

11th July 2019 at 12:35 pm #43230I heard on Talksport yesterday that Rod Stewart who has just played a Concert at Newcastle said that he asked the crowd if they wanted Steve Bruce as Newcastle Manager and there was a positive reaction from them.
They could have all been Sunderland fans of course.?
Allardyce confirmed he turned down an approach this week.

11th July 2019 at 1:12 pm #43231Their scrapping the barrel now though nine mate.
On another note friend of mine, massive Chelsea fan brought his sons to see Chelsea squad in carton house and got to meet frank. They were delighted and said heβs a gent.
Comes across as a top geezer. Someone who was not naturally gifted but worked so hard at his game to become world class player

11th July 2019 at 1:31 pm #43232Sean, personally I can’t understand anything about Newcastle.
Yeah I met Frank a couple of times and that’s always how he came across to me if he’s half as succesful as a Manager as he was a player we’ll be Ok!?
