It’s so worrying now player power besides getting managers fired is also determining their hefty wage demands, Wonder where its all going to end.

8th July 2019 at 8:00 am #43147I’m very disappointed with my Spuds, they haven’t signed a player for 5 days now… get that chequebook out!! 🙂
Seriously though (or vaguely seriously!), it seems Spuds 2.0 is going to look a bit more 4-3-3 or even 3-4-3 rather than the tried an trusted 4-2-3-1… I for one thought it was time to mix it up a bit. Most importantly, Sir Harry can stay up top now, rather than dropping back all the time…

9th July 2019 at 6:34 pm #43172That’s Mourinho again who argued for Sanchezs earning massive money, he played great at Arsenal but has been poor so why not get rid of him on those wages you can get combined 2 or 3 more useful players.

9th July 2019 at 8:03 pm #43177United are probably prepared to pay a large slice of Sanchez wages to get rid of him and at the end of the day Sanchez despite the wages is a footballer and he will want to play.
“There’s only one Winston Bogarde”!?

10th July 2019 at 5:48 am #43179Now Lindelof’s agent coming out and talking about a move to Barca. So we’re now potentially looking at DDG, Lindelof, Pogba, Hererra (gone), Lukaku to be all gone or wishing they had. The rest of the top 4 contenders can rest easily this coming season because Utd will do well to get a Europa place!
You can argue about how good any of them are but that’s the entire spine of the side. The likes of James and Wan Bissaka are steps in the right direction. Young, hungry players. But that rebuild could take years. If it gets rid of the underachieving, overpaid useless lot we have playing for us now, so be it.

10th July 2019 at 6:20 am #43180DDG has already signed?
I think Pogba will go for the right moeny (and or player) and decent rep[lacements can come in like SMS?
The owrry is the striker fromt for me if you lose lukaku…harder to replace those goals and poor as he often is i think he is comfortably your best actual striker at present…Edu back at Arsenal as Technical director, thats great news and the re structure is now complete, maybe we do have a plan after all…..we shall see!

10th July 2019 at 6:23 am #43181AnonymousIt’s all about the new way now, holding your club to ransom and there’s nothing clubs can do for now, it’s happening all over, you yourself come first no such thing for players as the club or the team coming first.

10th July 2019 at 6:37 am #43182Steveo, no DDG hasn’t signed yet and, as yet, there is no indication he will and who can blame him? The best keeper in the world deserves to be challenging for league titles.
Agree with you on Lukaku. For whatever reason, he’s never looked a good fit at Utd but his record for previous clubs and, in particular, his record for Belgium (30 goals in his last 30 games) has always been very good. He scores goals and those goals need replacing. I like Rashford but I remain unconvinced about his ability to lead the line. Mason Greenwood is a brilliant prospect but we can’t rely on an 18 Yr old and expect to challenge for anything.

10th July 2019 at 6:45 am #43183ah i see, the reports are he is ready to sign a new £35okpw deal…..not that he has, but i think he will sign that deal, so at least thats one less problem for you
i hear James is embarassing the rest of the squad in pre season training for speed and fitness….if he can play a bit you might have a bargain there

10th July 2019 at 8:33 am #43184I’m not sure of the wisdom of keeping players who have made it obvious they don’t want to be there problem is big fees and big wages are involved and there are a limited number of Clubs who can afford to buy them and Clubs like Real have already spent big and need to recoup some money before they spend big again.
Barca who would ideally take Neymar but need to sell a couple of big players to be able to do that.
And who will buy Bale for instance based on his salary and what Real want to recoup.

10th July 2019 at 9:02 am #43185Pogba clearly wants out so get as much for him as you can and get him out.
Can still see utd bringing in at least another 3 players

10th July 2019 at 9:17 am #43186Have to admit, I have zero sympathies for those “big-clubs” who are happy to show-off and pay silly money for players, and then complain when it comes back to bite them in the Arsenal when trying to shift them on…
