Itβs going to be a crazy few days and any big money spent now are panic buys for me
Still think Utd will get Alderweireld and one more
Chelsea maybe one more after the keeper
Think city and Liverpool

8th August 2018 at 7:48 am #24984AnonymousIf spurs have bid 25m for grealish then I just really donβt understand levy. We have been linked with him since before the season ended, at a time when villa were in huge financial trouble. Why wait until the penultimate day of the window to make an offer. Heβs been a target for months and theyβve just sat on it and In he end made an offer for the amount he was linked with us for in the first place.

8th August 2018 at 9:00 am #24987Anonymousif they’ve been talking for weeks, just put a fucking offer in! theyve wanted him for months and just for a laugh leave it til the last minute so they cant find a replacement if it doesnt happen. i very much doubt they have identified grealish as they only player in the world who can improve this spurs team.
jim – i had completely forgotten about that. i do however remember us signing ryan nelsen and louis saha when we were chasing 3rd place. we ended up finishing 4th (1 point behind arsenal) and chelsea won the champions league. we all know what happened then. i don’t know how levy hasn’t learned his lesson yet. he’s got this reputation that he is amazing at selling players and getting bargain signings, but he really isn’t. loses money on players very often, even in the current market cant sell anyone for shit and his buying record is woeful. often over paying and rarely getting a good deal.

8th August 2018 at 11:42 am #24988Think Neville was Everton captain at the time and although Bill Kenright wasn’t exactly loaded no way was he ever going to sell his captain even if he was Phil Neville for that amount. Spurs under Levy have always run a tight ship with transfer spending. Pochetino does a great job with the funds he gets.

8th August 2018 at 12:10 pm #24990Now Villa say they won’t sell Grealish? Given Villa’s promition ambitions I guess it comes down to Villa not being in a position to sign a replacement this late.

8th August 2018 at 2:04 pm #24994If Kovacic signs for Chelsea that’s a very good midfield three of Kovacic, Jorginho and Kante and there won’t be many better in the PL.

8th August 2018 at 2:45 pm #24999Paxton. Cesc’s problem are his legs and his ability to get around the pitch for 90 mins I’m sure he’ll get game time but he won’t be an automatic starter but there are EL games and FA Cup and League Cup games as well as starting some PL games but that just my opinion.
Hudson Odoi is only 17 and is potentially an outstanding talent and I’m sure he’ll get some decent game time and he will be a great impact sub when opponents are tiring with his speed and quality but he won’t start every week just yet imo.
