If Spurs were to sign both Grealsh and Zaha in the next 7/8 days it would make it quite a successful transfer window for Spurs and they do always do their business late. Grealish is probably more gettable imo than Zaha because selling him this late in the window would severely weaken Palace in what looks like another season fighting relegation. But I guess the same could be said about Villa selling Grealish this late which would probably take them out of any chance of competing for promotion?

Only just over 7 days to go and all will be revealed.?

I expect both Chelsea and United to make one or two signings yet maybe City too?

Croatian told Real Madrid he wants to leave this summer with Chelsea and Manchester City also interested, but has concerns over Jose Mourinho’s style.

Chelsea now linked to Grealish? JT would have given him a glowing review.

But Chelsea need a Keeper and a striker Marcin Bulka looks quite interesting and I wonder whether the solution to solving the Courtois problem is within the Club he’s only contracted until 2019 so that’s something that should be sorted out quickly either way.

I can’t see where Chelsea can find a qualty striker with a week to go of the window so they will probably have to persevere with what they have I would be tempted to give Tammy a go versus City.

I suspect it’s going to be an intersting 8 days and not just for Chelsea and that there will behind or two suprise signings.

this is why spurs will never win anything. i think daniel levy has done a brilliant job to get spurs where they are. he has spent 15 years being shrewd in the market and built an incredible academy, training ground and stadium. he did brilliantly to bring poch in. however, he is not willing to take a risk that will take spurs from a top 4 team to winners. spurs always drop points early on because they are not prepared for the season – this year we don’t even have a stadium!!! don’t think we’ve made a marquee signing since van der vaart in 2010. don’t get me wrong, bringing in top quality players, guarantees nothing, but it most certainly increases your chances of winning. the league kicks off a week today and so far spurs have not improved in the slightest. last season was good, but we also went backwards in every department (lower in the league, less goals scored, more conceded, won less games, lost more games) yet levy doesn’t feel the need to improve when all the teams around us are. we have a number of players who don’t really want to be there (toby, rose, dembele) and they will just make up the numbers in the squad as poch doesn’t play people who aren’t committed. for the second season running we are weaker than we were going in to the previous season. top 4 is by no means assured for spurs and if we drop out of it we will find it very difficult to get back in. i’m sure a couple of signings will be made but why leave it til the last minute especially when we are potentially going to be missing 9 first team players from the first game.

Sarri in his press conference today said “he’s very confident that Willian will remain a Chelsea player” which I suspect rules out any move for Zaha.

On Courtois he said “Courtois is the goalkeeper of the club, I don’t know in the future, it depends on the club, and especially on him I think. I hope Courtois will be our goalkeeper.” That one still sounds flexible but I can’t see Chelsea letting him go if they can’t find a suitable replacement.

Out of Willian, Hazard, Kante and Courtois I would be delighted to just lose Courtois and perhaps bring in Butland.

Mav, really? haven’t seen that. Here’s what Hodgson said today “my hope and my plan absolutely is that he will stay. I’ll let the speculation continue and I will continue to be happy to work with him.” Palace will shoot themselves in the foot if they sell him to anyone imo.

Mav, yeah I saw reports that he was prepared to put in a transfer request be madness for Palace to sell him though imo they need him to keep them out of a relegation fight.

I can’t see where he would fit in at Chelsea in respect of those rumours with Willian staying , Pedro signing a new contract and the emergence of Hudson Odoi which leaves only Hazard and I can’t see Chelsea letting him go or Real coughing up £200m. Hopefully!? Cheers 999

What an underwhelming transfer window so far by the top sides, with the exception of Liverpool. I really thought there would be some big names coming into the league this summer but it’s been a bit disappointing to say the least. Hard to see any major deals now with so little time left, either.
