27th July 2018 at 10:15 am #24494Sounds like Hazard to Real might be off with Real allegedly switching their attentions to Cavani. 🙂

27th July 2018 at 12:34 pm #24502Anonymoused – i cannot tell you how refreshing it is to see someone share my opinion of maguire. at no point through the season did anyone say anything about maguire. if anything people were surprised when he was originally given the england chance. he didnt have a bad season for leicester but he by no means pulled up trees. all the hype about him is based on a few games in the world cup and now hes supposedly world class.

27th July 2018 at 12:51 pm #24503vvd is top class , Maguire isn’t so there should be a huge difference between their prices. No mentions vvd price these days as he improved us big time
It’s just crazy. Seemingly Leicester want 80m
We just paid 67m for a Keeper for gecko sake
Richardlson to Everton 50m. It’s just bonkers.
It’s gone mad

27th July 2018 at 1:14 pm #24504Sky Sports headlining that Jordan Pickford is Chelsea’s primary target if Courtois leaves this Summer.
I would be more than happy with that but I can’t see it happening especially as it is Everton too.

27th July 2018 at 1:18 pm #24505Mav, of course but Real have made Cavani their primary target at £89m. Be tough to then spend another £178m on Hazard.

27th July 2018 at 2:48 pm #24514Chelsea have accepted a €75million bid from Manchester United for star man Willian, according to the latest reports.
The winger is reportedly a target for Barcelona this summer, with the Catalan giants already having three bids rejected.
The LaLiga champions eventually completed the signing of Malcom for Bordeaux after being put off by the £70m asking price for Willian.
Jose Mourinho is apparently keen on securing a reunion with the 29-year-old, who he coach at Stamford Bridge.
Now, Italian outlet Tuttosport claims that the Brazil international is finally nearing an exit, with Chelsea prepared to accept United’s £66.5m offer.
The Sun recently claimed that the former Shakhtar star has decided to leave Chelsea, despite Maurizio Sarri’s appointment as new boss.
Sarri however recently revealed he is hopeful of keeping Willian: “It’s a pleasure to have Courtois, to have Willian, to have Hazard, but it [their futures] doesn’t depend on me, not only on me.
“So, we have to wait. I’m confident.”
I really hope not. This is a fecking joke!

27th July 2018 at 3:35 pm #24515Sean, I think Pickford probably would break the record again too.
Tbh Chelsea are in a pickle with Courtois because seemingky they want more for Courtois than Real have offered and won’t sell him anyway until they get a suitable replacement which Pickford would obviously be.
But even at £80m I can’t see Everton agreeing to let Pickford go with less than two weeks of the transfer window to go but Sky are driving this story.
I would expect Everton to kick this speculation into touch anytime soon if not maybe there is something in it but I don’t trust Everton after the Stones and Lukaku situations.

27th July 2018 at 3:50 pm #24516That’s it Paxton. I would have thought most clubs had learnt their lesson from buying players solely on the back of a decent World Cup. £80mil is an absolute joke. I know there’s a certain premium attached to English players (Stones, Sterling, Walker etc) but £80mil is ridiculous.

27th July 2018 at 3:58 pm #24518Supply and demand. And less than two weeks of the window to go?
Mina at Barca looks a decent Centre back and would probably be a lot cheaper than Maguire. Alderwiereld would be a great signing for anyone but he’s old at 29 couplef with Daniel wanting silly money for him.

27th July 2018 at 4:05 pm #24519If our 2 remaining signings are Willian and Maguire, that’s about as underwhelming a window as I could have imagined yet we’ll have blown well over £200mil (assuming both are around £70-80mil). Over £200mil and I’d argue we haven’t improved the first XI whatsoever. Never mind pressure on Klopp, Jose better have a clean sweep of everything on offer or he’ll be on his way.
