Not a bad idea.
Also no loans to clubs in the same division or equivalent foreign division.
It would also help if no loans for current internationals._____________________________

23rd July 2018 at 9:51 pm #24350Reckon Adders and Perspective Ed hit the nail on the head… no reason for “clubs” of that size to need to loan players in… I’d also like to see a rule about the number of players loaned out too, for all clubs.

24th July 2018 at 12:11 am #24352I will personally write to the FA and nominate propose Ed and Adders as heads of football common bloody sense. As long as you also bring the price of a pie and pint down to Β£5 and make sure that every person serving at HT at City can at least spell their name.

24th July 2018 at 8:07 am #24354“Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has declared that the club must adapt to the βdizzyingβ new-look transfer market by signing the next generation of stars – possibly pouring cold water on a move for Eden Hazard.
Marca have claimed that Real Madrid will not be sucked into paying over the odds for their targets, which would appear to rule them out of spending big on Hazard.
And Real Madrid chief Perez has suggested that Real will turn away from their famed Galactico policy of signing more established players by opting to recruit more up-and-coming talent like Brazilian Vinicius Junior – who cost Β£40m having only just turned 18.
Perez told reporters: “We know very well that the international footballing landscape has changed in a dizzying way and we must adapt and face up to this new reality.
“We must also not forget the important contribution of our youth set-up in the first team, which, as we all know, is one of the key parts of our identity.
“I said a few days ago that we would strengthen our squad with magnificent players and that’s what we’re doing, (Alvaro) Odriozola is one and so is Vinicius.
“We will put our faith strongly on the young talents that one day want to be the best in the world.
“That’s why Real Madrid are intensely strengthening the process of looking for young players”

24th July 2018 at 9:34 am #24355Anonymousbased on the Ed’s plan the following english teams would not be able to loan any players (based on report from 23rd January 2018):
Man U, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs, West Ham, Leicester, southampton, everton, crystal palace, west brom, bournemouth, stoke.
apart from the first 6, all the other teams have fought relegation in the last few years (maybe not everton, but they were shit last year) and loan players are crucial to these teams.

24th July 2018 at 1:04 pm #24359They might have fought relegation Pax, but they’re certainly not short of resources. They’re financially secure enough to go out and buy players in from other European sides who aren’t as well off.

24th July 2018 at 1:13 pm #24360Personally, the whole loan system has been bastardized for years and has been used as a shop window rather than what it was intended to be. I’d go for the very simple rules of a) a club can only loan out a max of 2 players and b) can only loan to a league (national or international) lower than the club loaning (ergo no top-flight clubs can borrow players as none of them really need them!).

24th July 2018 at 1:32 pm #24361UEFA clearly got caught out with the Mbappe loan and wouldn’t have expected something like that happening and they need to put processes in that shut that gate.
The loan system needs looking at too imo personally I wouldn’t necessarily limit club’s loaning out their Academy produced players potentially that stunts the development of young players and the majority of England’s starters in the World Cup benefitted from the loan system.

24th July 2018 at 2:44 pm #24367Hobby horsd. Ranking by revenue alone only tells 25% of the story. Debt, profits, amounts extracted by owners also tell a story.

24th July 2018 at 2:58 pm #24370Adlab, you’re right of course but rankings like that aren’t readily available this was to put a bit more flesh on the Ed’s suggestion as to how situations like Mbappe could be prevented from happening again. Personally I think the Ed was on to something. And you would hope UEFA do something to prevent it happening again something like the Ed’s suggestion would work imo.

24th July 2018 at 3:13 pm #24371Malcolm to Barca suggests Willian to Barca won’t happen. Mixed feeling on that given the Barca offer and Willian’s age. Either United or staying at Chelsea looks favourite now?

24th July 2018 at 3:59 pm #24372I think teams should limit spending on thirty year olds. By way of example, Sanchez who is 30 in December cost nothing/v little but………Alexis Alejandro SΓ‘nchez SΓ‘nchez, also known simply as Alexis, is a Chilean professional footballer who plays as a forward for the English club Manchester United and the Chile national team. Wikipedia
Height: 1.69 m
Salary: 26 million GBP (2018)
Paying astronomical salaries is also part of the transfer story. Again its too much. Not just because its Utd. Again some of that could go to season ticket holders?
On the basis of not paying this it equates to Β£346 for each of Utds 75000. Iknow this isnt like for like as they wouldnt have the player but pay Β£ 10 million,!!, ..thats Β£133 for each of the 75000 supporters.
Fees too big salaries stupid.? Supporters? Mugs_____________________________

24th July 2018 at 4:07 pm #24374Adlab, tbf the Sanchez transfer particularly the salary was driven by the fact that he could sign a pre contract with a major European Club last January and go on a free this Summer.
Still crazy money though but isn’t it all crazy money?
If Chelsea manage to talk Hazard into signing a new contract this Summer he will probably get Β£300k pw. Bonkers imo but unfortunately that’s what it now takes to secure the best players.

24th July 2018 at 4:26 pm #243763×9-Please do keep Willian, and you can have Fellaini for free.Much rather sell Martial who doesnt want to be there, and sign someone like Pjanic anyway.
