Jim, quite possibly.? But it just made me chuckle when I read it so I thought I would share it. It’s just a bit of nonsense mate. Cheers 999

17th July 2018 at 6:21 pm #24121Liverpool aren’t messing about are they? In all likelihood, Liverpool will start the season with the world’s most expensive goalkeeper and the world’s most expensive defender!

17th July 2018 at 8:58 pm #24123All that money on a keeper just because the last one got concussion! What happens if this one gets concussion also??

17th July 2018 at 9:17 pm #24124Lol jim
Iโm wondering were the money is coming from?
Keita and vvd and shaquri are couthino money
Fabhino 43m
We never spend over 50m net. We got 44.5m for cl run. Our owners always adhere to fffp
I donโt really believe any of this. Be some summer if we got a decent keeper and Fekir but I severely doubt either will happen

18th July 2018 at 8:37 am #24125Anonymousnot seen a lot of him but if liverpool sign Allison, based on what I’ve seen of him, it wont solve their problem. in the world cup he looked like another Karius. but then again klopp doesn’t tend to get it wrong with his signings – apart from Karius of course!

18th July 2018 at 8:43 am #24126Anonymoussean last season liverpool brought in ยฃ157m and spent ยฃ151m (source transfermarkt.co.uk)
this summer so far liverpool have spent ยฃ112m and brought in ยฃ0m. if they get allison for say ยฃ60m then that takes the net spend to over ยฃ170m. will liverpool have to sell big in order to cover these signings?

18th July 2018 at 10:14 am #24127Ye no idea Paxton. Itโs usually 50m net mate. I canโt see us selling any of front 3 and our fringe players wonโt bring in much
I hear Roma are just waiting for a bid from Chelsea in anyway. Iโd say he will go there
Heโs better then Karius. Klopp really wants him and I fully trust him but I canโt see this or Fekir happening. Itโs just to much money

18th July 2018 at 11:42 am #24128Liverpool are going to have to balance thrir transfer spending at some point. I think with the new TV deal and the CL money earned they can afford to spend more than ยฃ50m net but I would be surprised if they can go much above ยฃ100m without impacting FFP?
Allison seems like a done deal and there are suggestions of a medical about to happen? Lot of money for a Keeper who was understudy to Schezny and has only played one season at Roma but he looks a good Keeper. Courtois by comparison looks great value at 35m Euros but that’s because he only has a year left on his contract.
Be interesting to see what Chelsea do about the Keeper position Cech should only be a stop gap short term option if no one else is available another cock up by the Chelsea Board, Courtois should have been sold last Summer for a proper fee and a quality Keeper bought in then.

18th July 2018 at 12:02 pm #24130Thatโs it nine but our owners are always conscious of fffp. They wouldnโt put us in any danger.
Interesting to see if this comes off.i wouldnโt hold my breath

18th July 2018 at 12:17 pm #24131Anonymousi would have thought liverpool have player sales lined up and ready to go, just getting the ins sorted before the outs. as sean has said the owners are very responsible.
now just need spurs to get things moving

18th July 2018 at 12:22 pm #24132Sean, using Paxton’s figures Allison plus Fekir would take Liverpool’s expenditure this Summer to circa ยฃ220m if that happens they will have to balance the books somehow which would probably require a big sale of one or two? Difficult to know who though.
I think the Allison deal will happen I think Klopp wanted to give Karius the benefit of the doubt this season but a couple of bloopers in pre season plus the mocking from the fans convinced him he needed to sign a Keeper.

18th July 2018 at 12:24 pm #24133Daily Mail saying it’s all done and dusted for 67 gold bottle tops… can’t say I’ve seen a lot of him (last year in the CL against Pool springs to mind and that’s about it), and I don’t remember being that impressed to be honest… interesting.
Agree with Paxo, looking likely Grealish is coming and that’s about it… maybe this Pravad fellow for Toby… that’s getting a bit of traction…

18th July 2018 at 12:27 pm #24135Be great if we spent that nine. Itโs huge money for us.
Be a unreal summer if got a keeper and fekit
You are never guaranteed a signing to be a success but of Klopps have worked out.
If these signings come off then top 4 is no longer good enough. We have to start winning trophies

18th July 2018 at 12:27 pm #24136The markets slow because of the World Cup I think things will accelerate though over the next three weeks. Be surprised if Spurs weren’t active.

18th July 2018 at 12:46 pm #24137Anonymoussean – completely agree with you. you cant go round spending in excess of 200m and settle for top 4. with the money potentially being spent, liverpool need to win something.

18th July 2018 at 3:16 pm #24138Kylie-Isnt Pavard a right-back babes?
I follow Serie A and Allison has been simply brilliant the last season and in the CL run too.But I`m not surprised @ all that Liverpool are spending so much ยฃยฃยฃยฃ,considering how much are the likes of WHU,Fulham,Bournemouth,Leicester City,Wolves are spending so much.

18th July 2018 at 3:44 pm #24140Goosey Lucy… apparently Pravada Lada is one of those clever sorts who can play all across the back-line and DM too (what a smart arse!), so can play in both of Poncho’s 3-4-2-1 or 4-2-3-1 depending on whats floating his boat… although I wouldn’t call him a babe to be honest!
