Was there already a thread for this? If so, I’ll merge them. Couldn’t find one anyway.
Looks like Bale might be sticking it out at Real in the hope he’ll be more in favour with the new manager. Shame really, as I would have like to shave seen him back in his best years

3rd June 2018 at 8:54 am #22503Still think he’s going to be honest, but to where…
Anyway, as long as Poncho stays, which is looking likely, I’m just left with mourning the imminent departure of the Moose…

3rd June 2018 at 8:58 am #22504I’m not sure. By the sounds of it, Perez wants Ronaldo out and Bale to be the main man. Hope you’re right though.
Yeah reports are saying Klopp is now Real’s first choice. Can’t see that happening either though to be honest. I don’t think Klopp is suited to a club like Real.

4th June 2018 at 7:16 am #22534Personally, I’d like to think all of the “younger” managers on the market would simply view REAL as a bit of a pension topper and nothing else. Sure, you’re bank account is going to look healthy, and you’ll undoubtedly pick-up a few pots in the 2 team League that Spain is, but is there a sense of achievement there?
They’re basically a club playing with all the “cheat” codes. Using both Klopp and Poncho as examples, the level of “glory” they could achieve now at Salahpool and Spuds, would seriously outweigh anything they could get at REAL. They could go down as legends, but whatever they do at REAL they would just be a footnote in history.
And yes, REAL are #1 in Banjo’s “Overseas Teams He Loves To Watch Lose!” List… 🙂

4th June 2018 at 10:53 am #22536Fabhino is a very good signing for us. Adds much needed aggression to midfield. Keita coming in aswell.
Fred has signed for utd. Don’t know much about him but highly rated.

4th June 2018 at 11:06 am #22537Anonymouschucky – you say that about madrid playing with cheat codes but over the last 5 years they have a net spend of 38.3m. over those five years they have a combined spend of 404.5m whilst bringing in 366.2m. i am sure they will spend a lot this summer but that last 3 years they have spent very little money (133.5 making a profit of 30m) and in that time, won the champions league 3 times!
although i do agree no manager there will ever be remembered as anything special.

4th June 2018 at 11:10 am #22541Paxo… I was thinking back to the dodgy training ground/bank overdraft write-off’s… to be honest, don’t really follow the accountancy side of the game that closely… 🙂

5th June 2018 at 6:03 pm #22624Good to see you back Paxton!
Fred to Utd all but done now. Don’t know a thing about him but if his YouTube videos are anything to go by, it looks a good deal ??

5th June 2018 at 6:38 pm #22625As long as it spells the end for Fellaini,Herrera and Mata I`m happy.

5th June 2018 at 6:55 pm #22629Real need to spend this summer. Bale is an injury waiting to happen. Ronaldo, Ramos, Modric, Benzema and Marcelo are all 30 or older. They might have won the CL the last three seasons, but that won’t continue. They’re an aging team that needs new blood. Perhaps Zidane knew that and that’s the reason he left?
Real were never really a threat in the league and perhaps that old squad of theirs is more suited to cups rather than the league.
Slowly but surely they need rebuilding, and looking at the names above that might be a difficult task. But no doubt they’ll spend soon, and when they do they usually look to the PL._____________________________

5th June 2018 at 7:20 pm #22639Well the Wenger out brigade’s desire for change is well and truly underway if Fellaini to Arsenal does go through ?
Agree about Real SRD. They need a new poster boy and surely only Hazard or Neymar could fill some of the void as Ronaldo gets phased out. Big ask to get either of those in though.

7th June 2018 at 11:29 am #22651I’d take Shaquiri for 12 m
Good cover for wide in the front 3.
Klopp has improved all our attacking players greatly so would fully trust him with this

8th June 2018 at 8:08 am #22654AnonymousIn the Guardian today “Liverpool set to complete £53m signing of Lyon’s Nabil Fekir” from Lyon.
Liverpool will be insane next season,Keita, Fabinho and now Fakir , really like the way they are getting the players they want in early. Liverpool supporters can look to the side hitting the ground running next season, and good luck to them.
Still expect Baldy to be looking for bargain basement deals on deadline day, just for once Daniel “Do a Liverpool”._____________________________

8th June 2018 at 8:17 am #22655Dunno Bricky, could be stellar for sure, or a mid-field mind up entirely of players who have never played in the Prem before could take a month or two to gel…
Certainly shooting for the stars, I’ll give ’em that!! 🙂
