There’s something very questionable about Chelsea being able to get decent fees for all their castoffs specifically from Saudi Arabia at a time when they really need to sell 🤔. It would appear Chelsea are another sportswashing club in disguise.

That’s the thing Ed, they’re cast offs. Saudi and the ilk of Inter Miami seem the obvious choices; likely-hood being that the individuals feel they have something to offer still to the game and won’t take a pay cut.

Plus, those areas will suit them being slower than the PL. I read a rumour about Nevez which is a shame, but if a top PL club tries to come up for him, these clubs are just upping their prices.

Disagree, these wages and fees are sustainable over there and I got a feeling its all part of a plan to win the 2030 World Cup, plus we all know how much Infantino loves his petrol scented brown envelopes.

Didn’t Ronaldo say something along the lines that Saudi Arabia will have a top 4 or 5 league in just a few years after he went?

Sean, the way I look at it mate to some degree, a case of NIMBY – not in my back yard. It’s probably done other clubs a favour not to be paying way over the odds for a player or be held at ransom. E.g. Declan Rice.

I get people’s value re Sports-washing etc, but whilst they’re in existence, they are serving others their purpose and it’s a different league, continent etc, so the way I see it, they’re welcome.

Tiago is doing the rounds. We need to offload players whilst we’re in the process of brining in new faces.

That’s the other thing now to take into account when buying from certain leagues; apart from their medical history of injuries, will they be a good fit to be able to sustain the PL and play in the possible region of 40+ matches?

Naby turned out to be a disappointment. Has been a shame too re Tiago.

Departures or proposed moves at least in waiting to be materialized. Inter Miami in an example is like Planet Jupiter; lol disconnection and I’m actually glad because the Roots we’ve been used to hopefully stays with us.

I just sense this will really take off in volume because the English League will look to tighten belts. I also sense due to the high cost of living and everything else, this I’m sure has impacted revenue on gates and television.

FairPlay to Arsenal for totally backing their manager now. Arsenal fans can’t be blaming lack of funds as they have spent millions.

Rice really has really improved over the last few years. He’s 100m cause he’s English. I don’t think Arsenal is the right move for him. I think last season was a once off but this might be wrong . He would be a huge coup for him. Great player I have to say.

Havertz is a huge gamble.

Lads, I do get that it’s a hell of a coincidence that Saudi clubs are on a huge investment drive in to their leagues at a time chelsea have a bloated squad and need to sell to meet FFP.

However, it’s sloppy logic to jump to the conclusion it is a conspiracy to benefit of chelsea when there are many players from many clubs being touted and purchased.

Seems to me that given the circumstances and relative needs of chelsea and Saudi league, we are to them like an overstocked candy shop to rich kids.

Very lucky for us 😆

Lucky, that’s the point I made in using the Saudi’s to your advantage. It’s a big ask to be driving an activity of a clear out when there’s a necessity to release a hand full in an ideal timeframe to be able to RESET.

The players have their own terms and it’s a headache. This kinda sorts itself out and you hopefully be presented with a new blueprint 🙂
