11th August 2023 at 3:25 pm #208126Not any more Steve, however our Daniel has just been dropped in the shit by Postecoglou who at todays press conference told everyone that he knew Kane was leaving after his first meeting with him.So we have to ask why didn’t Levy say anything, could it be because everyone was busy renewing their season tickets and 2023/4 shirts???

11th August 2023 at 4:31 pm #208127Can I start the 19 years vs 1 day jokes now?
Why would Levy say anything? That would be advantage Sausage Munchers when it comes to price for Herr Harry…

11th August 2023 at 4:53 pm #208128We must be permanently cursed if we struggle to keep hold of our best defensive midfielders; Alonso-Mascherano-Wijnaldum-Fabinho.

11th August 2023 at 4:58 pm #208129Winji and fabhino wanted to leave nil?
Hadnβt worked out so well for winji.Caciedo wants to go to Chelsea then let him go. He doesnβt want to come and Iβd love to see us withdraw our bid. Let him go to Chelsea and we move on. Never get carried away until anyone is signed.

11th August 2023 at 5:32 pm #208131Thats correct Sean. I know what 999 would say; “until it’s on the chelsea website it’s not a done deal” π

11th August 2023 at 5:59 pm #208133Chucky, Bayern knew he wanted to leave, Ange knew he wanted to leave, so what difference would it have made if Levy had come and and said Harry wants to move on, he was more concerned with profit than the fans and THFC as usual

11th August 2023 at 6:37 pm #208134Lots of speculation as to what is happening. Agent is forcing Caicedo to remain in London because he’s offered more of a fee by Chelsea. BHA fuming because verbal agreement was made and now the agent has gone back on it. Liverpool paid significantly over the odds knowing Chelsea cannot match it. Chelsea offering players to BHA, cancelling Tyler Adams transfer to funnel funds for Caicedo. BHA as far as I know not talking to Chelsea after they missed the “auction” cut off date.
It’s all a bit messy now!
Whatever is going on we will find out soon enough but it’s pretty entertaining for a transfer!

11th August 2023 at 7:07 pm #208135OKay, so levy should have sent he wanted to leave, take the 60 mil offered 2 months, had all the season tickets not renewed, very likley certain signings wouldn’t have signed, chances a few more of our players out the top draw would have left… but that’s all fine becuase Levy was honest?? π π
(And I’ll double up with all the Monster Munch that Adder’s owes me that if Levy did do that, you’d be saying Levy should have kept it quiet so we could still sign players and screw the Sausage Munchers for as much as possible!! π )

11th August 2023 at 7:35 pm #208136Personally if I was a player I would rather go to Liverpool than Chelsea at this point as Liverpool have the greater need.
Problem is London is more attractive if you are wealthy. Much more to do etc for a young fella. Also what’s happening to Lavia? Is he not going to Liverpool either?
I think maybe one or two signings for us in the next week or two but who knows.

11th August 2023 at 11:03 pm #208147Yep, we’re the tools. And we will resume back to the drawing board. Nothing, so we will harness our own.
Thank You Caicedo and Lavia, Thank You.

13th August 2023 at 7:17 am #208160Dani Olmo has been one of the most underrated players for years now, what a player!
That in mind, expect Liverpool to bid Β£50m,only for Chelsea to offer Β£150mππππ_____________________________

13th August 2023 at 8:51 am #208161Mav and lucky and others lol, just wondering and Iβm sure itβs very legitimate but how can Chelsea keep spending so much? Yes they have brought in sales but the net spend must be high and ted with the signing of Caciedo , nearly Brings his spending to one billion?
Cacideo deal looks like 10 year contract? How they just keep spending like this?
Caciedo wanted to go there. Absolutely no bitterness. He never wanted us so good luck to him but the money being spent on under 23 players is huge.
They have about20 players under 23 and keep on spending. Fffp what is it now?
Again just wondering, it is what it is. Sone good players signed this summer and poch will get them working as unit. Iβm surprised so many have written chelsea off for top 4 when they have a good manager and No Europe.

13th August 2023 at 9:03 am #208162I have no idea how they manage it Sean. According to the below article, they’ve spent Β£750 million already under Boehly and that could approach a billion by the time Lavia and Caicedo are done. A billion in the short time they’ve been there is incredible and I have no idea how they do it. Them and City seem to not have to worry about FFP for some reason.

13th August 2023 at 9:44 am #208163The rumour is that Chelsea are also owned by the Saudiβs. No idea how that helps them navigate FFP unless they are doing a City and inflating income with back dates deals and lies.

13th August 2023 at 9:49 am #208164Lads, all of this expenditure will need to be accounted for over the duration of the contracts by income of the club.
Everyone understandably pissed off with it but Chelsea will get well and truly reprimanded if it don’t add up.
Don’t compare city and chelsea here, its apples and oranges in that we don’t, as of yet, have artificial commercial income to offset it and hide behind. It will be clear as day.
I worry we breach and you can go back to my posts last summer to see that a breach of FFP has been one of my concerns for last 12 months.
Any club can go push their accounts to max like this but its scary to me because our accounts for next 8 years are now tied up pretty much.
People need to be thinking about how this is accounted for to understand. For example we have sold Mason Mount for 55m and all 55m will be drawn down against the books for this season, along with his wages due this year…however if we buy a player for 55m on 8 year contract only 7m goes against the clubs accounts for thar year plus the years wages..that’s it. However that 7m plus wages is also on the account/due for the next 7 years too.
As I see it, chelsea are talking enormous risk. If it doesn’t pay off, you can just sit back and enjoy π

13th August 2023 at 9:57 am #208165Some of the players may prove good value, but many won’t. We are likely to be forced to sell one of the players that worked each summer to continue to cover the costs of those that fail π
We will need to sell well every year.
Thanks to utd, arsenal and city we have drawn down 150m against this years losses. The billion spent over 8 years means we should be covered for this year, but this will be a yearly struggle now.
