Summer 2021 Transfer Window

Foxy, Utd aren’t in for a striker this summer at all so it’s certainly not a case of Haaland or Kane for Utd. There are far more urgent areas for Utd to strengthen, namely a right winger, a CB, a defensive mid and a bonus would be some cover at RB. I doubt we’ll even get all those. Having renewed Cavani, a move for Kane would make zero sense.

Another year of Cavani gives us chance to see whether or not Greenwood can mature into a suitable solution for that position, otherwise I’m sure we’ll go into the market next summer but not for Kanw who’d be 29 by then.

If Utd buy Kane this summer, I’ll start supporting Liverpool. That’s how confident I am of it not happening 😆

Foxy. More chance of Meghan Markle becoming Queen than Levy selling Kane to Chelsea mate I also think it very unlikely that Chelsea will get Haaland. Lukaku still remains a possibility if not Chelsea will turn to their plan b list.

Absolutely, Cityboy. but I have a horrible feeling we will get him, what little football brain I have, does not understand it at all. Gofor a younger, fitter version, after all we have the experience with Augerro with his fitness problems.It should tell us something. Kane has had an excellent run of scoring butthere comes a time when fitness, or lack of it, takes over, you loose sharpness, you loose goals. Kane will probably score a hatfull now I have said that!!

Nine..there are a few….I am not sure of the names but one in Italy, I think his name is Martinez or something like that, then a couple of exciting young Spanish lads. I am still hoping Delap makes the grade but I think City will loan him first for experience….I cannot believe out of the thousands of players around the world one maybe two cannot be found.that would be OK for us. What are the Scouts saying???

Brian, Martinez plays for Inter and will probably cost £70m plus and Inter once they’ve sold Hakim don’t need to sell again this Summer.

Last season Martinez scored 19 goals in 47 games, against Kane’s 33 goals in 49 games so a long way off Kane’s goal scoring and Martinez would still be a very expensive signing and whilst younger potentially a much bigger risk than Kane.

Delap may or may not make it but he’s a long long way off being a regular striker for City.

City have the probably best Manager in the world and you have to trust his judgement if he thinks City need Kane that’s who City will try and sign.

Signing a consistent goal scorer is the most difficult position to fill because there’s a dearth of them.

I still think Kane to City is some way off because firstly Levy doesn’t really want to sell Kane and will ask for even more than £100m and secondly the players City want to utilise to make the deal more acceptable to City like Sterling don’t want to be used as makeweights and or don’t want to go to Spurs.

Nine…..Kane whatever he did in previous seasons does not mean anything for next season, it was the same with Augerro. Fitness is the key and Kane is a long way from that under current form. he is at an age where this will not regenerate quickly. It shows. I am not saying he is finished but for a mobile team like City he is not the answer.. OK, I bow to Peps greater judgement but I still believE I will be prooved right at thE end of next season

As a PS Nine….I am not a Sterling fan either but I would rather have him than Kane because he still has room for improvement in his finishing. He has always worked very hard for the team as well, the same can be said of Jesus. I do think Pep has given them plenty of chances to keep themselves in the team but is now feeling that it has not worked out as expected.

As always Brian it doesn’t really matter what any of us might think it will all be down to Pep, Levy and Kane. With Levy being the key because he will want even sillier money than £100m and I don’t think City will go past £100m.

……ps I question the £100m price and Kane’s fitness too and it may not work out even if it were to happen but every transfer is a risk.

Nine..take your point. but I cannot get past the risk with Kane is greater than the potential reward. At some point Levy will wish he had not been so greedy and all he will have is an unhappy talisman and players to find on a reduced budget
