Adlab, Really impressed with Grealish at the weekend I would take him at Chelsea in a heartbeat but I think Chelsea have other priorities.

If City get Grealish and Kane and add them to what they’ve got everyone else is playing for second place.

Adlab, I really like both Grealish and Sancho. Sancho hasn’t really had much of a run of games yet for England but I’ve been very impressed when I’ve seen him in the CL and the few times I’ve watched him in the German league. I assumed City fans would have known all about Sancho’s quality.

Only thing that annoys me about Grealish is his diving. He is one of the worst in the league for it. I’d still take him at Utd any day, though! Seemingly he’s a Utd fan, too, but I don’t think we could afford him at the price Villa want.

Very much so Nine! Though with both likely over £100mil each, I have a very hard time seeing both joining City this season. Frankly, either of those going to City and it’s game over for everyone else next season, I think.

Ed…you never fail to amaze me…season not started and you have thrown towel in…does not matter who we get, or not….City will be beatable next season just like they have been. Yes, we will be strong but the season is long and nobody is guaranteed anything before they kick off. I expect a Utd fan to be positive and believe they can win the league, same for others
I think we played 61 out of 62 possible games last season to get anywhere near that would be an achievement I am hoping for a very competitive season, maybe a top 8 emerging this time? I look at the season after 10 games, then again at second week in January and then the final month. anything in between is a yo-yo. City were down to 14 I think at one stage, Spurs actually on top as were other teams for spells, we need more of that

Adlab…I watched Sancho when he was with City Academy, he was very talented, at the time it was difficult to break in to the City squad with what we had and felt a move was right, his choice. He is good though, not sure how he would perform in EPL but think he should be OK. The interesting thing is listening the Chairmans views recently on the Academy future stars he indicated he expects a few break throughs this season but other will find it better to move but thinks the grounding and experience of being at the club should do well for them, in other words, some will, some will not make it. The investment is worth it for the few that do because they will be future stars and save us millions. I have my favourites already in view

Brian, City are already odds on favourites for the title. I think it’s safe to say, as Nine also said, that Grealish and Kane going to City would make the extremely unlikely (anyone except City winning the league) almost impossible. I’d love Utd to challenge Brian, I really would. But we just don’t have the squad to compete with City over 38 games.

I could see Haaland to Chelsea. Utd are not an option based on his Dad’s past with Utd. Pep won’t deal with Raiola and vice versa. He wouldn’t go to PSG and the Spanish giants can’t afford him, nor can Liverpool. Pretty much leaves Bayern and Chelsea and Dortmund would much sooner he went to Chelsea. Besides, Lewandowski has another couple of seasons at the top.

Lucky, I suspect there’s a long way to go yet to see what’s possible I’ve read Chelsea have offered Tammy plus cash for Haaland???

When have you had to hold your breath when Roman has got involved nine? 😉

I think we must have spoken to haalands agent and got the thumbs up that he would come otherwise we wouldnt be pursuing this now so that’s very promising

I think we could afford the fee of 150m without selling but it’s the wage bill we need to clear and that’s what will hold this up

Selling will be very difficult which is why I hope dortmund would be interested in one or two of our players, that could not only reduce the net transfer fee of haaland but clear some wages too. They lose sancho to united and haaland to us, wouldnt surprise me if they were to end up with both tammy and Hudson odoi in this deal.

I would do that but I would want us to have some sort of future buy back clause or first option on Hudson odoi if we let him go.

Lucky, lol.😊 When can we breathe out?

Hudson Odoi plus Tammy plus a huge wedge of cash and it could happen but both players have to be talked into going the other way which might not be easy.🤞

And perhaps more importantly Dortmund have to agree as well as Haaland and Riola.

Lots of bridges to cross yet before we get too excited but he’s a proper striker and just what we need.

Could all still be a smoke screen for Lukaku though or Danny Ings.😊

If Chelsea add Harland and can maybe add another CB to their stocks I would be betting on Chelsea next year to take the crown. The thought of having a front three of Havertz, Harland and Werner, with Mount behind them and Pulisic as an impact sub. That would scare any team out there!

There’s no gaurantee Haaland will perform in the EPL so for that kind of money it’s not worth the risk.

There’s definitely an argument that it’s crazy money considering he’ll be a fraction of that next summer. Although, there will be a hell of a lot of clubs wanting him next summer. This might well be Chelsea’s only chance of securing his signing. I think it’s one of those that you have to try to do if it’s possible, though.

Haaland allegedly wants to join Chelsea and Chelsea clearly want him but Chelsea and Haaland are only two parts of the triangle and if Dortmund don’t want to do a deal this Summer it all falls down. And of course throwing players as makeweights as part of any deal has the potential to make things even more complicated.

If it happens though and there are a lot of bridges to be crossed yet to get a deal for Haaland over the line if it were to happen Haaland would be a fantastic signing for Chelsea.
