Pochettino could potentially be in line for a stunning return to Tottenham this summer, just months after taking over at Paris Saint-Germain.
Spurs are on the hunt for a new manager to replace Jose Mourinho, who was fired in April.
Ryan Mason has acted as interim head coach since Mourinho’s departure, but isn’t expected to remain at the club.
And now, it has sensationally been claimed that Pochettino could return to N17.
Spurs insiders suggest approach with PSG boss ‘open’ to return.
A report from The Independent claims Tottenham officials believe there’s a chance the Argentine would be willing to return. Some figures at Spurs believe he’s found the job at PSG to be harder than first expected.
And Levy has been tipped to try and tempt him back to Tottenham in an attempt to appease a furious fanbase.
Levy’s popularity has gone through the floor since Pochettino’s firing, and hit a new low after Tottenham entered into the ill-fated European Super League.” Express 24/05
If the above is accurate you couldn’t even make it up.π
Personally I’m doubtful.

I can’t help but think this is going backwards for Spurs. They aren’t going to progress by reappointing a failed manager who somehow managed to go to a one team league and not win the league!

27th May 2021 at 2:40 pm #179727It is a strange one Ed. Itβs generally said you should never go back. But as weβve been discussing, there is a general dearth of top managers available and it seems Spurs are struggling to find someone they deem suitable.

27th May 2021 at 2:57 pm #179729Looks like Poch back to Spurs might happen.
Poor from Poch imo giving such little time to PSG and why reappoint a Manager who won nothing in his previous 5 years and given “Pochettino was dismissed by Spurs with the side placed 14th in the Premier League table, with chairman Daniel Levy citing “extremely disappointing” domestic results as the reason behind the dismissal.”
Smacks of Levy trying to get the Spurs fans off his back and trying to retain Kane.
I don’t think Spurs will sort themselves out properly until they get rid of Levy and Enic.

27th May 2021 at 3:28 pm #179736Allegri going back to Juve.
Massimiliano Allegri will sign his contract as new Juventus manager in the next few hours. The agreement has been completed. Andrea Pirlo will be sacked. Just a matter of hours. βͺοΈβ«οΈβ³ #Juventus

27th May 2021 at 3:49 pm #179739That’s it Steve. Zidane to PSG makes a lot of sense and it wouldn’t surprise me if Pogba went there then as he was always the one pushing for him at Madrid.

1st June 2021 at 2:43 pm #179937“According to The Athletic, Tuchel and Abramovich met again on the morning after Chelsea’s victory at Estadio do Dragao.
The report states that ‘positive talks’ took place regarding the German boss’ future, likely regarding a new contract.
Fabrizio Romano claims new contracts for Tuchel and Thiago Silva will be announced soon, with N’Golo Kante also set to be offered a new deal.
After lifting the Champions League, Tuchel also stressed that he wants to win more silverware with Chelsea and grow as a coach whilst doing it.
“I can assure him that I will stay hungry, that I want the next title, and I feel absolutely happy as a part of a really ambitious club,” Tuchel added.
“My desire is to go for more victories, and my desire is to grow as a coach.
“My desire is to push the group from the first day of the next season to the limit.
If the latest reports come to fruition, Tuchel will be stationed in West London for the foreseeable future.
With big incomings expected this summer too, Chelsea will undoubtedly be among the frontrunners for major honours again next season.”Express 1/06. Here’s hoping.π

1st June 2021 at 5:03 pm #179939What I do not understand about the Poch to Spurs scene is that it changes nothing….if levy did not back him before are they likely to do it now? Think not, then you have same scenario. Spurs need new players and selling Kane is the only way they will get themand I am sure Poch would want to keep Kane. I guess we will all just have to wait and see.

1st June 2021 at 11:32 pm #179946If you’re French, Zidane to PSG makes absolutely no sense. He’s a Marseille boy and they absolutely hate PSG with a passion. I’d say he has more chance of going to Juve.

2nd June 2021 at 5:42 am #179947Foxy, the Juve job isn’t available though and is unlikely to be for a while now, I’d say. I wouldn’t rule out Zidane to PSG. It’s not like he ever played at Marseille. Carragher was a blue growing up but became a Liverpool legend.

2nd June 2021 at 6:58 am #179948Brian, if Poch goes back to Spurs and it’s going to work I suspect it will be with several agreements in place one of which would probably be a meaningful transfer budget and that he has final say on who is signed.
He’ll need it all in writing though given this is Daniel Levy decade talking about.π

2nd June 2021 at 9:13 am #179952Well so much for Guardiola’s “we can’t afford to buy a new striker” comment a few weeks back! As we all thought, City will only get stronger and better so the rest better keep up
Man City are ready to spend big on a couple of players of quality this summer, says chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak.
