Sean, Bertrand will be a good free transfer signing for Leicester too.
Overall I think Rodgers is doing a decent job at Leicester but he needs to start turning around falling out of the CL places at the end of the season as he has done over the past two seasons a better quality larger squad which he appears to be assembling should give him half a chance of doing that.
Problem for Leicester of course is the Club’s above and around Leicester are/will be strengthening too.

3rd July 2021 at 1:34 pm #181236Did Leicester get Bertrand aswell nine? Very good signing in a free if so
I like Rodgers. I liked him at Liverpool because he always attacked. We couldn’t defend but Leicester can defend. Very bright coach
I just think Leicester run out of legs. The teams ahead of them have bigger squads.
Very difficult to break that top 4 but they are so close. They really let it slide away again tvis year but fa cup was a huge thing

3rd July 2021 at 2:21 pm #181238Sean, according to Fabrizio Romano who is always very accurate.
“Ryan Bertrand to Leicester, done deal and here we go! Total agreement reached, signing a contract until June 2023 [one year option included until 2024]. 🔵🦊 #LCFC
After many approaches/bids, Bertrand will be officially announced as new Leicester player in the next days.”
Still too painful for me to think about the FA Cup Final Sean. On another day! 😊
I think you’re right Sean squad size and squad strength cost Leicester in the previous two seasons as you rightly say “Very difficult to break that top 4 but they are so close.” Cheers 9

5th July 2021 at 2:00 am #181352Rodgers has been brilliant and for me has achieved everything he can with that squad. When we can field our first choice XI I think we can match it with any team in the league and would be a huge chance to make the CL spots. The reality is, the last two seasons we have been decimated by really bad injuries at crucial times. Even with those he has coped incredibly well and I can’t commend him enough. It seems like every time we were hitting a purple patch of form a huge injury would pop up. We just didn’t have the back up players good enough to slot straight into the team. Everyone went on about Liverpool and their injuries last season, but for the opening 6 games of last season, we were without all 6 of our first choice back 6 players. Then further to that we had more injuries. Our squad just could not maintain that level throughout the course of the season.
If we do not sell any of the players we have now and make one or two other signings, I can really see us finally armoured up for a proper CL assault!
Bertrand asn’t signed yet, but if he does he will strengthen us even further_____________________________

5th July 2021 at 12:30 pm #181359Ings to City?
He’s not Harry Kane though. I wonder if they see him as the answer and go all out for Grealish?
We do need a striker. False nine will not work every game._____________________________

5th July 2021 at 1:20 pm #181361Ings turning down new contract with Southampton, probably wary of the shortage of experienced premier league strikers around and knows a big club might take a punt.
