Brian, fact is mate none of us know anything about impending transfers, both Grealish and Kane would imo be good signings for any of the top Clubs but less than a handful could afford to sign either let alone both neither are worth the money being suggested in the media imo but as you rightly say it’s all about supply and demand and there are very few players at the level of Grealish and Kane in their positions potentially available in this transfer window and Kane because of Levy will be a very difficult transfer for anyone to pull off imho.

The main thrust of the transfer market is yet to happen and it’s very difficult to predict the outcomes for every Club.

I do though think the chasing pack will have to have stronger transfer windows than City if they want to close the gap on City but we’ll see.

Btw is Sancho worth £80m? I dont think so based on what I have seen.

Adlab, considering what £80mil usually gets you these days, I’d say Sancho is definitely worth that, in my opinion. Utd refused to pay the £120mil Dortmund were asking for last summer and fair play to them for that. The same was true of Grealish. Utd were due to buy him when Villa were going down then pulled out when his price became silly (due to them staying up).

His numbers for Dortmund are just ridiculous. Second only to Messi in the big 5 leagues for goal contributions over the last 3 seasons. Why Southgate hasn’t trusted him is a strange one. Also, he’s only just turned 21. To be doing what he’s doing at that age, £80mil is a very good price in the current market. I think someone like Grealish is a better player right now but Sancho IMO has a higher ceiling.

If it’s Sancho (21yrs) for 80mil or Kane (soon 28) for 120-150mil, there’s no debate. Sancho all day for me. His potential and numbers are easily comparable to Havertz too who went for a similar fee last summer.

Sancho be a great signing for utd and and see I looks like utd are in for vrane. Unreal signing if it happens.

Agree with Ed about Sancho. Unreal numbers, an absolute flyer and could help utd unlock defences who sit in like villareal did

As I say the only views I have of Sancho is playing for England. He is good but £80m+ seems an awful lot but if thats the market so be it.

I agree that Kane and Grealish if they want a move up have to move now otherwise leave it a year and other younger targets will come along. £100m+ prices is just too much considering the clubs loss of income (and the level of debt of most increasing) and no guarantees that the pandemic is over regardless of what that idiot PM says. Just look at current infection rates. Who knows!

If Sancho does sign for £80m+ then thats at least £15m to City based on the deal that took him to Germany. I understand that is 15% of the transfer+addons.

This is a transfer story that I really don’t understand. Since when are Villa in a position to take Arsenal’s best young players? Surely, the fact they won’t go away means they’ve had some encouragement from the player.

Does this mean Grealish to City is happening?

The player who has impressed me most in the games I have watched at euros. is Sanchez who plays for Portugal, I do not know anything about hime or how old he is but his drive and skill I would take him at City

Brian, Renato Sanches the midfielder? He has really turned his career around. He was absolutely awful when he was at Swansea on loan. He broke through at the last Euros and looked brilliant and then completely lost his way after joining Bayern. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him get another big move now though.

I read some reports this morning that Grealish was a done deal to City at £88m prior to the Euros and it will be announced after the Euros???

£88m keeps the fee under the record transfer fee if true????

Ed, Sanches was highly rated in Portugal moved to Bayern and failed miserably then failed miserably again at Swansea he resurected his career at Lille and helped them win the title Arsenal are reportedly looking to sign him at circa £30m. Bayern allegedly back in for him too???

I know his career paths well Nine. Was gutted when he went to Bayern after that Euros (2016) as it looked like we were in for him. He’s definitely got something. That he lost his way so badly would concern me somewhat but I guess he might just not have been ready for such a big move.

The Spanish game to night was a cracker for the neutral but did not spring into life until they went behind 0-1, then 3-3. It was clear none of them had any legs in extra time but something drove them on. Great stuff. pity had to be a loser
