I guess we need a winter break/staggered GW 26 thread.
Watched some of the Everton game. Calvert-Lewin should have had 2. That miss at the end was hilarious. Richarlison doing well too though. Everton are starting to get results going here though. Have they finally got the manager to get the most out of the pretty decent squad that they have?

Carlo’s done a great job in a short time despite making no signings bar Braithwaite Everton will still do well to finish in the top 6 though imo.

City v West Ham is the stand out game of the weekend difficult day to play football though if the weather is anything like it is in the South West currently. Stay safe all.
Can’t see West Ham getting anything from this game and they need to start picking some points up soon given where they are.
Stupid decision to bring Moyes back imo if he wasn’t good enough 18 months ago when West Ham sacked him he’s not good enough now. Typical poor decision by the owners.

Not surprised Sean player and fans safety is paramount. It’s awful where we are and we cancelled going out for lunch on that basis.

Everton are in a really interesting position right now. For me, they have a really good team and just needed a good manager to come in and it seems to be working so far, with Ancelotti. They are going to get a good sample-set of matches to see how he’s working out before the summer. If things go as they are so far, they’ll potentially be in the position of being 2-3 successful signings away from being a solid CL club next season. They might even get it this term! I mean if that happened, it’s a much easier call for their board to make and would ease the FFP burden also.
Everton could be on the path back to being a big club.

Nice goal by Sheffield United what a great job Wilder is doing if they hold on to their lead which I think they will they’ll be 2 points off a CL place and 5th in the table in mid February who would have predicted that.

As well you should be Nine. There are a lot of good sides all fighting for that last position.
People say the PL is getting weaker but it’s definitely getting stronger, on the whole. From 5th down to 9th, they are all fighting for a CL place. They are all improving.
I think Chelsea have probably got the edge on all of them. Looking forward to finding out though.

I watched the Brighton v Watford game on MotD, it looked entertaing for such a critical match and made me think that the level of these two teams against say a top team of 1980/90 team is wide imo, although, I had previously said you cannot really compare different era’s I still stick with that, The game is faster now for sure but it has its downside as well as plusses, Just daydreaming when watching this match

Would like to give the thumbs up to Sheffield United for their amazing season. Rarely spoken about either in the papers or on here but doing a mighty fine job. Who knows, they may even hang in there and get a Europa League spot if they can keep it going.

If Chelsea fail to claim 4th spot which is more than possible I would be delighted to see Sheffield United claim it it but imo the reality is that Chelsea aside it will be between Spurs, United and Wolves.
