999, or he leaves by mutual consent, which could suit all three parties….Pagan

3rd October 2019 at 2:55 pm #49183Not impossible Pagan but highly unlikely imo. But time will tell.
And it’s not like if Pochettino left there’s a big pond for Spurs to cast their net in for a new Manager.
The majority of the current problems at Spurs are linked to not rejuvenating the squad when it’s needed rejuvenating and that’s not been down to Pochettino.

And if that was to happen it’s not like there is a big pond for Spurs to cast their net in for a replacement who is guaranteed to be better than Poch.
Most of Spurs problems relate to them not rejuvenating their squad consistently and that’s not been Pochettino’s fault.

And it’s not like there’s a big pond with lots of tasty fish swimming in it for Spurs to cast there net in.
Most Spurs current problems relate to insufficient investment required to rejuvenate the team/squad and that’s not down to Pochettino.

3rd October 2019 at 3:16 pm #49189Poch I think has let himself be used by the club. The long contract has done nobody any favours, he knew what he was signing up for, he canβt now moan about his situation, it was fairly predictable. All the while his reputation has taken a hit. But heβs obviously got well paid for it. I suspect heβll go abroad. As for Spurs, has anything really significantly changed over the last decade bar becoming a more consistent top 4 club? Indeed are the fans paying for the curse that top 4 brings – it brings in revenues for the club from the business side point of view, but it doesnβt really need to go for the bigger trophies because financially, it doesnβt make much difference. See also Arsenal under Wenger, see also Man Utd since Fergie left. The success isnβt really there, but the revenues still are. Top 4 should be a stepping stone, but all too often it becomes the final destination.

3rd October 2019 at 4:00 pm #49201999, I suppose that depends on if Levy wants him to go or not, if he wants him to go Iβm sure heβd gladly save himself Β£32m. The trick though would be him wanting him to go and but making Poch think he wants him to stay, and obviously Poch having a team to go to….Pagan

3rd October 2019 at 4:34 pm #49202There is clearly something very wrong inside the club, and if Poch leaving is the solution then no one is bigger than the club.Imho only Keane and Son look like they give a toss, and how on earth he keeps on picking the likes of Veronghen,Alderweireld,Rose, and a couple more, well only he knows it.Sounds like they going their separate ways might be the best option, and for Spurs to begin a new cycle.

You’ve missed out the part about a Club being prepared to pay what Levy might want for him.?
Tbh whilst I think that Poch could have been a bit been more politically correct at some of his press conferences I also think the problems at Spurs lie more with Levy in not sorting out the contract rebels and not investing when Spurs needed to.
And if Spurs were to part company with Poch could they get someone like Allegri or will there be bigger Clubs chasing him.
It would be a very small pond for Spurs to fish in and they might end up hooking someone like Eddie Howe who I’m not sure would necessarily be an upgrade on Poch.

3rd October 2019 at 7:16 pm #49208AnonymousI’d like to thank everyone for the excellent posts on this topic, I for one think he will stay , he is in his own words “building something” and I don’t think he’ll be happy until it comes to fruition whatever that may be. The more I think about it the more sense it makes when he spoke about leaving the club if they had won the CL final, maybe that would have been his high spot to leave on.
Levy will have to dig deep in the next 3/4 transfer windows as Spurs have reached a plateau with the current players and are starting to regress .
I fear for the worse trying to replace Jan and Toby, yes we have Sanchez but his confidence has taken a knock, I’m just glad he didn’t play vs Bayern.
I don’t reckon any of Toby, Jan and Christian will be here for the 2020/1 season the same may apply to Rose, Winks, Aurier and Wanyama_____________________________

3rd October 2019 at 8:02 pm #49209N17-It might be the time for a new dawn @ Spuds, matey. From managers point of view,as well as for a world class player like Kane to win a trophy or 2 while not too late.
