19th November 2019 at 7:45 pm #53188I agree with 3×9=27,Spurs AND Spuds needed a new start and a challenge.

20th November 2019 at 5:23 am #53236Well then, that’s my team, club and hopes for the future well and truly shagged. It was fun while it lasted, running with the ‘big dogs’ for a bit. They were a couple of amazing years (for us Spuds at any rate!), I guess we can still call it Top6, but put the Foxy Ladies in our place.
Best Stadium in the Little Years (hopefully!) Cup for sure!!

20th November 2019 at 11:16 am #53313I’m trying hard to forget yesterday, Baldy has f….. up and he needs to take a long hard look in the mirror. He kept telling anyone who would listen that there was money set aside for transfers, separate from the pot for the new ground, it’s just a shame he never actually used it , today’s headlines would have been very different.
As Chucky says it was a brilliant ride and I’ll always remember Poch on his knees on the pitch in the CL semi , I hope Poch, Miguel,Jesus and Toni soon return to a club who fully appreciates what they bring to the table, hopefully not in the EPL.
As for Jose, it’s all been said, he is a winner no doubt about that but manager of Tottenham Hotspur?? Ten years too late I reckon._____________________________

20th November 2019 at 11:46 am #53319Cheers Sean , the news of Jose’s appointment has gone down well with some in N17 but I believe he will overspend on average players, unsettle an already unsettled side , fall out with Levy and feck off in a couple of years, I would love to be proved wrong.
Is there a better chance of winning a trophy ? probably yes, are us old ‘uns going to enjoy the football ?? everything says no !!!_____________________________

20th November 2019 at 11:58 am #53321That about sums it up. A decent chance for a couple of pots while being bored a majority of time, and then Armageddon squared when Maureen gets the hump with the wrong type of tea-bags in the canteen or something equally stupid. Still, we’ve got a nice shiny stadium for me to watch on TV while I fall asleep.
Hopefully, and just about the only silver cloud I can see for the immediate future, is Maureen is very likely to tell the “contract rebels” to go and do one for the rest of this season and come out with his “only want players who want to fight” baloney.
Off course, he could surprise the beejesus out of me and we could do the CL/FA Cup double… π

20th November 2019 at 12:44 pm #53336it could also make them want to go even more and maybe a few others…he does have form for hanging players out to dry in the media, epsecially if they make him look bad!

20th November 2019 at 12:46 pm #53337AnonymousMy guess is more will stay than go. They are assets and jose in the door, will be positive and charming. He’ll get that side united at first.

20th November 2019 at 12:53 pm #53340Yep worth bearing in mind how highly Mourinho’s ex players speak of him despite what the press would have you believe.

Like Chelsea did in 2012 but without Jose.?
All football fans are fickle the dissenting Spurs fans will all change their opinions when the climb the table again and start competing for trophies.

20th November 2019 at 12:59 pm #53346i thought they sacked the whole lot with Poch? so its more than a shake up its full replacement…ive no idea who any of them are nayway or what they actually do or bring to a club, many clubs fans would say diddly!

20th November 2019 at 1:03 pm #53347Stevo, apologies that was a cut and paste from the Telegraph so don’t shoot the messenger.?
But you’re right Jose will appoint a whole new back room staff but the Assistant Manager appointment is probably his most key appointment
