Nine..a stupid vanity show. but then again..was the ulterior motive a Netflix film about the so called drama. No doubt they will pull back there legal fees!!! The whole thing petty and shameful and our legal system should not have clogged up Court time with frivolous cases

29th July 2022 at 9:08 pm #197125Brian, perfectly summed up. I do like Coleen as she seems genuine whilst the other to me is plain vile, but in essence, no time worth to spare on this. It’s ridiculous.
Parallel Universe, albeit ‘reality tv’.

29th July 2022 at 9:34 pm #197126One question. Where would they both be if not married to millionaire footballers.

29th July 2022 at 10:48 pm #197127Adlab, naturally rendered valid point. We’re fed up in my world to the point of can’t be bothered really to waste time. Not worthy.

4th August 2022 at 2:16 pm #197243Chelsea coukd end up being the biggest spenders. Crucrella is a fine player. Probs go in as left centre back. I donβt get the villa lad signing as he wonβt get a look in
No need for de Jong either. Still think Chelsea need another cb and centre forward. Sone great business done though.
On their day, they can beat any side.

19th August 2022 at 8:07 am #197841Utd really pushing now.67m bid rejected for Anthony confirmation by ornstein. Casemerio on his way
Iβd take casemerio all day. Adds a real bite to midfield. Issue is he is 31 in a few months. Big money for a 30 year old and it seems to follow suit of sone recent signings.
I think itβs the right move. Panic but but utd are really desperate. They need sone like him in midfield. Few more signings defo in next few weeks for utd and Chelsea
I donβt get Chelsea chasing Gordon? Heβs good but stupid money and heβs not going to play. That villa lad for 20 m aswell. Never going to play.

19th August 2022 at 8:41 am #197842Don’t get Anthony at all for that price Sean. We need to be really careful pinning our hopes on yet more Ajax/Dutch based players. A hell of a lot of money that for him.
Casemiro is 30 (yes turns 31 this season) but I think that’s fine for a 4 yr deal. As I said previously, I couldn’t care less about sell-on value at this point. We just need to improve the team. I’m not convinced we should be spending so much money though on that position. He’s clearly not as pivotal to what Ten Hag wants to do as what De Jong was. He’s a completely different kind of player. More of a destroyer than someone to pull the strings from deep. I still think we’re going to lack control in the midfield with him, even though we shouldn’t be as easily carved open. Maybe he feels Eriksen will fare better in a double pivot with a proper defensive mid like Casemiro. Who knows.
I’m not sure what I think about this signing, if it happens. The scatter gun approach to transfers this summer (De Jong saga, Rabiot, Anthony, Pulisic, the list is endless) is as bad as anything from Woodward’s time.

19th August 2022 at 8:42 am #197843Some good points made by the BBC pundits, is he a good fit for Ten Hag’s tactics? He is a destroyer that sits very deep (as do Madrid in general) and doesn’t offer much in the forward transition. Ten Hag plays with his midfield pressing high up the pitch and more progressive with the ball. We’ve seen before with Utd buying expensive signings that don’t suit their style of play (Maguire and Wan Bissaka) but more of a low block counter attacking team.
It’s a lot of money, 70m Eur potentially plus being one of Utds top earners and till 2027 also. Good player now but will he warrant such a contract in two years? Or will he become another old player on huge wages that Utd cannot get rid of?
Edit: good point Ed, maybe a double pivot with Eriksen is his idea. Will be interesting to see develop.

19th August 2022 at 8:49 am #197846I don’t disagree Threeps. I can only hope Ten Hag knows what he wants to do with him and asked for him rather than this being a fan appeaser.

19th August 2022 at 8:31 pm #197914Casemiro is a fantastic signing imo. That back 4 needs a proper anchorman and utd can’t afford to have to play mcfred anymore.
Casemiro with erikson and Bruno could be a good trio for haags first season.

19th August 2022 at 9:27 pm #197915Thats the key question Ed. Casemiro strikes me as a Conte type signing, not a Ten Hag one. That’s not necessarily to say he won’t do well, but again the recruitment policy seems at odds with the managerial direction. Because Man Utd still have the resources to spend Β£50 mill on a 30 year old established Real Madrid midfielder, its probably the easier and less risky option from the owner’s point of view than scouring around looking for someone more in tune to the manager when they don’t seem to have that kind of recruitment resource in place.

20th August 2022 at 5:05 am #197920Casemiro has to be better than Fred ot McTominay..I think buta very high cost and very high wages. Can they really afford it. The only question I would have is would he fit Ten Hags way of playing.

20th August 2022 at 9:11 am #197921Adlab, “very high cost and very high wages. Can they really afford it.”
I’m sure there’s enough money in United’s Piggy Bank to afford Casimiro’s circa Β£60m fee and his alleged Β£350k pw wages.

20th August 2022 at 10:12 am #197922Adlab… Casemiro is a very good player, for the money and at his age for EPL at CB is a question to be answered much like Varrane but on the whole I think he is worth the risk for Utd and certainly better than they have got. Can they afford it…they always afford what they want

20th August 2022 at 10:29 am #197924Real just love manu
Over a Β£100m now for varane and cass which they use to recruit the young hungry players and clear huge wagesPure craziness! Is cass better yes but so are many better cheaper younger options
Smacks of one last payday type of signing especially with no cl footy
I think he will tank big time
Slab head to Chelsea? Surely not!! Crazy if so as is auba⦠some very odd and just as scatter gun approach from Chelsea imho
Canβt wait for end of the window and dust to settle to see just how bad many teams recruitment has actually been
Throw in the World Cup to and this could be a very odd season with many surprisesβ¦.

20th August 2022 at 11:08 am #197926Stevo, I think Maguire is just rumours but Chelsea do need another Centre Back but not if Chelsea sign Fofana?
Chelsea desperately need a striker even at 33 I think Aubameyang could do a job for a season.
Both still to happen though.

20th August 2022 at 11:18 am #197927PSV Eindhoven are holding out for Β£38m for Dutch winger Cody Gakpo, 23, but negotiations with Manchester United aren’t expected to be an issue. (Telegraph)
I watched the Rangers v PSV CL qualifier game on Tuesday night and Gakpo was virtually anonymous.
