Far too early to be forecasting PL finishing places other than probably the top 2 especially with almost 7 weeks of the transfer window to go.
In respect of Eriksen I think he’s a different player to Fernandes and I think Eriksen brings a bit of added versatility and with 5 substitutes next season that could be interesting at least Eriksen didn’t cost a big fee only time will tell though.

6th July 2022 at 2:26 pm #196884No you’re probably right Nine. The top 2 are nailed on but the next 5 or 6 sides could really finish in any order.
As you say Eriksen offers something different from Bruno and with the Europa, we’ll have enough games to go around, that’s for sure.

6th July 2022 at 3:44 pm #196885Iโm not sure how Erickson is different? Both are numbers tens with no pace, who are excellent players but itโs their onlygood position. My point is, Bruno plays every big game when fit? Were would even Bruno fit in if utd play 4-3-3?
Also van de beek was a ten hag player. Thatโs why Iโm including him as he might be in his plans.I said the same when they signed donny. Bizarre signing as he plays number ten. Maybe ten hag has plans for them both?
No idea about the left back.a centre back, dominant midfielder, right sided attacking player and centre forward if ronaldo goes are needed. Donโt rate Anthony either from what Iโve seen. Iโd be going all out for raphfina or Neto.

6th July 2022 at 3:46 pm #196886Chelsea will spend well and have a top manager. Itโs going to be very hard for any side to compete with city no matter who else anyone brings in

6th July 2022 at 3:51 pm #196887They’re completely different players Sean. Bruno is a risk taker. Loses the ball loads. Frustrating at times. Eriksen is much more a possession based midfielder. Lots reckon Ten Hag will quickly tire of Bruno as he’s not great at keeping the ball at all. He creates chances but he can’t keep the ball. It’s easy to get blinded by Bruno goals and assists stats. He can be really annoying to watch the amount of times he gives ur away.
Leeds wouldn’t sell Raphinha to us I don’t think. Don’t reckon much to Antony either tbh.

6th July 2022 at 4:20 pm #196888Yeah agree Nine re Eriksen on versatility. He’d be good in the middle of the park to link up play and use his experience too re set-pieces.
Obviously this now comes with how much match time he’ll be involved in and whether he can stay in good health.

6th July 2022 at 4:21 pm #196889We I donโt agree Ed. Possession based player be someone like thisgo, jorghino etc
Erickson is nothing like Those. He hurts teams while playing high up the pitch.
Bruno, Erickson, couthino, bundeia are all the same kind of players in my view
So Ed do think Erickson will play further back? Like were Fred /mctwoniey played?

6th July 2022 at 4:27 pm #196890Conte played him further back for Inter at times and said he was very effective there. But I don’t think he’ll play there. He can and he’s another option there but I think he’ll rotate with Bruno giving us a different option in that more advanced position. He’s not like Thiago or Jorginho but he’s much more comfortable dictating play and keeping the ball than Bruno. Great article on Eriksen’s evolution as a player here https://theathletic.com/3399914/2022/07/05/eriksen-manchester-united-transfer?source=user-shared-article

6th July 2022 at 4:30 pm #196891Ed, just interested to hear if think can both play in the same team? I think itโs very much like Pogba and Bruno who could not play together.
Be interesting to see how it pans out and what formation they play. Interesting what you say about Bruno. If he plays 4-3-3 thereโs no place for him

6th July 2022 at 4:31 pm #196892Another one here. Pretty much exactly ehat I have been saying
Where Bruno Fernandes is an unorthodox playmaker with a โhigh-risk, high-rewardโ passing profile, Eriksen is a calmer, creative player, one able to generate goalscoring opportunities for team-mates yet still valuing possession

6th July 2022 at 4:33 pm #196893I’d be surprised to see them in the same team but we play tons of games with the EL so I don’t think that will stop either getting plenty of minutes. I wouldn’t rule it out though when you consider how his game has evolved since leaving Spurs.

6th July 2022 at 4:33 pm #196894Erikson certainly didnโt work out under conte at inter Ed. Thatโs why I never thought spurs were in for him. He wasnโt as near as effective playing there and never started much in his last few mo that there but
He did play further back for Brentford and was a success letโs see how it pans out

6th July 2022 at 4:35 pm #196895Erickson actually regressed after leaving spurs and going to inter. It was a terrible move for him club wise. He wasnโt a regular starter at all towards the end of his time there.

6th July 2022 at 4:46 pm #196896Yeah I wouldn’t have gone near him Sean based solely on his time at Inter. I thought he was very good though since going to Brentford this last spring. Time will tell if it’s a good deal but it’s very low risk considering the lack of transfer fee. Still has some resale value if it doesn’t work out. No brainer for me but I get your point.

6th July 2022 at 5:46 pm #196897Sterling a great signing for Chelsea. Good move by him to go somewhere he’ll play every week ahead of the World Cup too.
Raheem Sterling has agreed personal terms with Chelsea. #CFC hoping to finalise fee/deal with #MCFC in next 24 hours in time for Sterling to fly with Tuchelโs squad to US this weekend. Very close now. Full details/background: https://t.co/bP4YC0EqJ5 with @Matt_Law_DT

6th July 2022 at 6:00 pm #196898Reportedly ยฃ45mil the fee for Sterling. That’s a very good price.

7th July 2022 at 6:12 am #196899Tuchel does rotate his team’s so I doubt Sterling will play every week plus he would also need to be consistent. Depends on whose going to get the goals regularly if any.

7th July 2022 at 7:12 am #196900Rover given the fact that seemingly the main reason Sterling is wanting to leave City is due to inconsistent game time if Sterling joins Chelsea given the alleged salary and fee I think there’s every chance Sterling will be a regular starter.

7th July 2022 at 8:10 am #196901Yeah there’s no way he’s leaving City unless he’s guaranteed more games than City can give him. It seems to be very much him wanting out for that reason rather than being deemed surplus.

7th July 2022 at 10:23 am #196902Ed ye fair comments from you aswell about Erickson. Totally get about needing numbers for the squad. Ten hag knows the left back and heโs highly rated. Utd pipped Lyon for him so be interesting how he gets on
Sterling has vastly improved since he left Liverpool and pep has turned him into a top class player. The only thing he is really best out left and he will play behind the front man at Chelsea so that be very interesting to see. He has played there for England and been very good.
45m is a great deal for both clubs considering he has one year left.
Looks like Chelsea be in for de Ligt aswell. Chelsea have a world class manager and only for a few hiccups last season, they were up there for everything
Could have easily being Chelsea winning those cups instead of Liverpool.
