You have to give Iceland enormous credit, great performance.

16th June 2018 at 3:59 pm #22847Ed, OK when you put it like that about him being the same for France I don’t dissagree with what you are saying. To be honest when Pogba was at Juve I was really hoping he was going to join us. But it seems we have dodged a very expensive bullet. But it was Jose that bought him not you, me or Pirlo. He just seems to jog arround the middle of the pitch with so little urgency most of the games I have watched him in.
Anyway I was impressed with Iceland defensively, they are so hard to break down.

16th June 2018 at 4:02 pm #22848Credit to Iceland, poor from Messi.
Jim and Ed, in comparison to Bakayoko and Morata at over Β£100m Pogba still looks a bargain to me!?

16th June 2018 at 4:06 pm #22849AnonymousPogba & Messi not at their best today , Messi will be back hopefully in his next game I want to see something special from him in what could be his last WC. Pogba still hasn’t dominated a game and today was his chance to shine on a big stage , has he got it in him ??

16th June 2018 at 4:37 pm #22851Mav are you saying KDB had a poor season when he arrived at City because I don’t remember that? Sure he wasn’t great at Chelsea but he shone soon as he left them.

16th June 2018 at 4:39 pm #22852Messi did not look interested from the start, dissapointing, should have done better with his skills but appeared not bothered to day Pogba. apart from the goal ineffective. Ronaldo, I have never liked, was amazing, apart from his goals, there was hunger and determination in his play

16th June 2018 at 5:47 pm #22855Mav, no you’re right there. Let’s see what the new Manager brings to the club and there are rumours of Zola as DOF too. Here’s hoping.

17th June 2018 at 8:47 pm #22862AnonymousPlay acting from the Brazilian players is expected but I think the Swiss have definitely given them a run for their money with Arsenalβs new boy being the worst of the lot but they donβt get criticised for it, not a single mention of it. Iβm now going to embrace and applaud cheating. Honesty in the game is long gone and cheating should now be a seen as a skill rather than an offence.

17th June 2018 at 9:29 pm #22863I agree with Hightown I’ve not seen all the games as we’re on holiday in Spain but the ones I have seen have been really good games. Spain v Portugal and Germany v Mexico were really enjoyable games imo.
England up tomorrow here’s hoping!?

18th June 2018 at 12:02 pm #22865That’s a very attacking line-up, Big J, proper attacking wing-backs for sure! But it is Tunisia…. (and now I’ve jinxed it!). Are “we” playing the VAR angle here, plenty of “talent” there who get nosebleeds when they step over a white line…
All the rags seem to be saying Henderson will be starting over Dier in the DM role… (not saying who should be starting, just saying what they’re saying, if you know what I’m saying!)
Reckon Southgate is going to start with Pickford too…
I’m predicting Southgate is lining up:
Pickford,
Walker, Stones, Maguire
Trippier, Dele, Henderson, Sterling, Young,
Lingard, Kane_____________________________
