Varane has stood out to me from what I’ve seen in this tournament. A bit like Pepe in 2016 for Ronaldogal. Just very good, very secure, not really any mistakes. Modric like the other Croatians were second best in the second half and extra time against Denmark and was just better in the group than in the knockout stage. I don’t think De Bruyne has been all that tbh.

Goldie… why would I not agree? Already said he had a blinding half, and the rest of the article was about him basically not diving like Naymer (after he’s “won” a free-kick! 🙂 ), and has discovered the art of “tracking” back… and a decent cross against Japan…

No idea who wrote the article other than they were probably:
a) Belgium
b) A Chelsea fan
c) His Mum
d) A golden Labrador…

Plenty of players have had decent halfs, and a few have had decent games, but nobody has really stood out for me, to be honest.

Srd, no mate just highlighting that in a Cup Final anything can happen Liverpool were 3 nil down at ht to AC Milan in the 2005 CL Final but still ended up picking up the CL trophy.

If you say so Goldie, if you say so… even though I watched the match, I would say that KDB and Lukkkukuuku were more effective when it mattered, Hazard came into it more as the game when on, mainly by holding it up, falling over, and killing the clock by dribbling the ball away from any players and into the corner… not exactly player of the tourny material in my book!

KDB has been very poor this tournament bar the 1st half against Brazil! Hazard has been simply brilliant but the opposition players have been very rough with him.POTT-?Either Hazard or Modric- so far!
Mbappe-not for me,but it could change if he scores 5 goals in the final.

Both KDB and Pogba been poor bar the odd half here or there. Both arguably played top deep, too.

I wanted Belgium to win, however France were the better side. I thought Hazard and KDB were not utilised properley to face france.KDB had too much ground to cover and Hazard stuck to the wing too much. Lukaka needed better service. Fellini, out of his depth, looses ball too much and no incisive passes for a midfielder. I like the French RB, Pavanne I can understand now how Mendy is not getting a game aslo, they have two good fullbacks, the CB not so convincing
