I reckon Sterling was excellent yesterday, apart from obviously his finishing. He had loads more touches than anybody else in Sweden’s penalty box, he took up good positions, he ran at the defenders and crucially he never hid. As a Liverpool fan, I will never like him, but he’s in my first choice England team every time. If only he could finish as well!

Mav…completely agree about Maguire. He’s surprised me just how assured he is in possession and never seems to lose an aerial battle…at either end of the pitch. He’ll be at a top 6 club very soon, I would imagine

Agree with you Hightown, Sterling did excellent work yesterday. For those that want to drop him and I believe Southgate knows this, they cannot match his constant running and upsetting defenders. This is a level too high for vardy, Rashford still does not fit properley, not his fault, he needs a settled position and game time. In real terms we have no real outstanding player in midfield, however, what we do have is a collective effort who work for each other…it is working , so far. I would still keep same team for next match

Moos the Muslim population in the UK is somewhere between 4 and 5% of the population. A recent survey found that 60% of the Muslim population would like sharia applied in the UK as long as the punishments were compliant with UK law. Don’t think anything is going to change anytime soon. Jim
