7th July 2018 at 10:01 pm #23728Corluka was at City before Spurs srd 79. Would have preferred to play Russia in semi, easier game. Croatia have Modric and that makes a difference, in saying that we are capable of winning now. I would love England v Belgium in the final

7th July 2018 at 10:07 pm #23730Would love to see Croatia or Belgium win it as they have never won it before but would not begrudge England one bit
Southgate is a very likeable character and England have a huge chance
Really anyone but France who are favourites in my opinion

7th July 2018 at 10:14 pm #23732Maguire/Stones are forming a good duo, we still need a better LB than Jones, he kept a defensive shape but we needed somebody to attack the left side. Sterling and Lingard kept the Swedes busy all through the game, still think Ali is not match ready. Pickford was outstanding should give the lad a confidence boost

7th July 2018 at 10:24 pm #23733I’m not sure it does Brian. The bulk of that side are still at Spurs with the exception of Modric and I’m not sure they could have done much to keep hold of him. I’d be keen to see how many players are represented from each of the top leagues too. PL must easily have the most players in the semis.

7th July 2018 at 11:44 pm #23734Wonderful performance from everyone and the great collectiveness produced a solid and composed team effort – that’s what wins tournament matches. It’s now all European and don’t forget Denmark and Greece have won the Euro’s – both having a tremendous work ethic and team spirit.
I have never felt so devastated after a football match as I was after losing to Germany in 1990. Don’t waste this opportunity lads and don’t let me feel like that again.

8th July 2018 at 9:01 am #23737AnonymousBJ I am sure you will have another pleasurable headache Thursday morning as Croatia will be England’s 6th easy opponents. Never counted Belgiums game as that is of course England’s only classy opponent right up to the final. Anyway I am not too concerned who wins it now as long as it was not Brazil, Argentina, Portugal or Germany so good luck to the finalists.

8th July 2018 at 10:11 am #23739Anything is possible.
Croatia were not that impressive against Russia. We somehow need to be more creative. Alli, Lingard and Henderson as the creative midfield come up a bit short for me.But I am still hopeful. You never know!

8th July 2018 at 11:21 am #23740One or two England players still need to step their game up if that happens there’s every chance of us beating Croatia and making the Final.
