Ed, Pickford is the England keeper he is high profile but he isn’t on the media witch hunt radar. Sterling is! Simple as for me. We shall have to dissagree on the agenda. Many City fans think there is an agenda against Sterlin. Some of the media have themselves questioned the pretty pathetic coverage he gets by the redtops.

Just for you Ed as you seem to have missed the witch hunt. I dissagree about the similarities with Rooney as well. Sterling hasn’t repeatedly cheated on his wife partner with prostitutes or been done for drink driving or turned up for trianing drunk. He had a tatoo and bought a pasty from Greggs! Shock horror.

The prostitute that Rooney slept with is reported to have been with 15 or so PL stars but only when Rooney did it was it front page. Agenda? No,just a more high profile player.
If there is an agenda against Raheem, I’ve seen zero signs of it in any player ratings I’ve seen from the Panama game. If anything, I think they’ve been overly kind to him after the last game. He was better than against Tunisia but I wouldn’t go as far as saying his assist was “spellbinding”. Maybe there is evidence they’ve been unfair to him in the past but here I thought they were very fair on the whole

Yeah Jim. I watched the Portugal/Iran game coz of the cash I had riding on it – would have almost paid for my ST.
You’ll probably see it later but cross came in and Iran player jumped with Cedric – Iran player just won the header but not cleanly and it fell on to Cedric’s arm (from no more than 2 feet away) – ref didn’t give it at first but obviously got call to review and hence changed his mind. Never a penalty.
The air was BLUE in our house – even the wife called him a “stupid person” – don’t think the dog’s heard anything like all it’s life π_____________________________

No mate, North Stand but tier 2, block 234. Thought we’d have to move next season as son is now 22 but been told we’re ok at least for another season.

Totally agree about VAR Jim – good idea and in the vast majority of referrals the correct decision is made. Atm though it’s far too subjective and the refs seem afraid to stick with their original decision if asked by the VAR ref to review. Don’t think I’ve seen a ref stick to his original decision in the WC yet.

Watched a terrific game. Spain v Morroco. If ever the value of VAR is shown there it is. Sorry for Morroco but VAR got tbe correct decision. Otherwise the goal would have been wrongly disallowed. Shame but a correct result.
Sterling? As I said before the media havent forgiven him leaving Liverpool to progress win things and get more money. Wouldnt everbody? If Kane wasnt given a new contract and somebody like Real or Barca said come here and we will double your money what would he do. Thats the media agenda against Sterling.
Anyhow so far what a good world cup!
