Maverick. We dont often agree but 100% when it comes to those horrors. They were responsible and in living memory for more than 20 million deaths. Instead of saying how wonderful spit on the ground. Not against any individual of today but what Germany stands for. Stop euligising them. For goodness sake they still sing that same national anthem.

Mav, I read loads of books about WWII. You can’t put htose horrors into words. And us that belongs to the generations born after the war couldn’t possibly begin to really understand it. We should never forget history. We should always seek to learn from those past mistakes, and that’s why I refuse to hold the past against the present generation. Regardless of nationality.
That being said my friend, I bet the German women only starting smiling when you arrived 😉

Football reasons only for me. I’ve been to Germany and found them to be nice people. As moos said Brasil and Germany have won it too many times. I can’t stand the Germans for that reason alone. Really gutted for Sweden last night but they were the architects of their own downfall, first half penalty aside. Why no VAR?? Plus Lowe eats his bogies and sniffs his crotch. What more is there to say!

Jim, looking at the game it was a victory for football that Germnay won. The Swedes were only about defending. I think it was 72-28 % for Germany in possession. Even one man up Sweden only defended. They had that Kroos goal coming. And I mean it’s not like Sweden is Iceland. They have a good history when it comes to football. Two WC medals. They should have ambitions beyond 9 men behind the ball. We played them in a test game recently. Fuck me what a borefest! And that’s why I want them out.
For me Germany and Croatia have put in the two best performances so far. Spain and Portugal in that one game was great too.

Having just come back from a cruise of the Greek Islands(really good), if you think us few on here dont like the Germans you should listen to the Greeks. They are quite open about it from the second world war to the Euro!
Will we beat Panama? Hopefully. That makes the Belgium match, if we do, less important. I dont think it matters that much whether we come first or second. There are no bad teams. Some are just better than others.
By the way dont the tabloids continue to produce tripe. United are going to sign every player in sight. City and Utd are trying to sign Mbappe – no chance. And on it goes!

Jim & Ed-Footballing reasons for me too chaps,and not just Brazil and the krauts.Spain,Italy,France,Argentina,England too.Would love to see an underdog win it to be honest,but not Portugal for example,someone completely unexpected!
