Seeing the furore on twitter about this today after Kick it Out labelled the song racist.
Had to look on YouTube to see what the fuss was about – do the united fans actually sing this in numbers as the video I saw was about 20 of them.

I’m quite surprised actually – what do the united lads on here think?

Are you surprised they sing the song or surprised by the furore surrounding it?

I’m surprised it has caused such a fuss. If Kick It Out deem it racist, then the song should be stopped and that should be the end of it. I’m amazed, considering some of the genuinely offensive things still chanted at football grounds around the country, that this has created so many headlines. It’s clear there were no harmful intentions with the song.

Hi Ed
I’m surprised by the fuss around it – as whilst it’s probably using a racist stereotype I don’t think there’s any malice in it.

I’m also surprised that kick it out feel strongly enough to write to the club and make it public – hints of an agenda.

I would have thought the best way to fix this would be to ask the player to tweet ‘please don’t sing that song’ and it would have been similar to Morata earlier in the season.

dont think the fans know the offensive side of the chant as blacks are generally regarded as having huger private parts which the song does plainly say and this in turn is associated with their heredity primate roots which we all have but from different inhereditary species. The people that in turn demand it to stop or be banned are a bit more intelligent people than your average football fan and therefore understand the consequences that could be involved.

We are actually all one species, Homo Sapiens, the very slight differences in our physical appearance are the result of slight changes in our genes, due to slight mixes in DNA, where we have lived geographically and climatically in recent times ie circa 10,000yrs and diet.

That aside I have to agree with Hightown the song is shite.

Big Jim That is just one of many scientific views, it is generally recognized that black people have that huger virtues, reason that’s in the song.
