Thoughts are with Sir Alex and his family during this difficult time after the loss of his wife Lady Cathy Ferguson.
The number of times Ferguson spoke so highly of her and the reason why he retired a decade ago was because of his wife, after she lost her sister and sensed she was alone.
She convinced him not to retire in 2002 and United went on to build another brilliant side after.
