Yeah I know this a footy site, but for those of those that take an interest in a sport where the integrity of the game is more important than the game and cheating is dealt with severely. Today is a sad day with the passing of the England legend Bob Willis, Englandβs 4th all time wicket taker and Ashes winning captain, taking 8 for 43 in the Headingley test….RIP Bob

4th December 2019 at 5:18 pm #55419? Absolutely sad. Grew up watching him very early 80s along with Graham Dilly and Ian Botham.
A dark day for the world of cricket

5th December 2019 at 1:17 pm #55582Guys Bob Willis died of Prostate Cancer after a long battle against it.
To everyone on here 40 and over I would say ask your GP for a PSA test it’s just a blood test and there’s nothing to it but get checked out and get it done on an annual basis.
Don’t let Prostate Cancer creep up on you!

6th December 2019 at 8:56 pm #55739I wasn’t aware of the details until what Nine posted. It just seemed all sudden.
My own Perception was the feeling that He was the Pre-80s Template and/or Benchmark of Bowling. Vague Memory, but it’s something this Gentleman has left in my mind.
Rest In Peace Bob Willis.

6th December 2019 at 9:24 pm #55741Nil, just for reference “It is understood the cricket legend was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer three years ago but never made his illness public. His health deteriorated over the last two months after a scan revealed the cancer had advanced.”
I urge everyone over 40 to get tested and have it done annually and not let this terrible disease creep up on you.
RIP Bob Willis.
