Not many of us really care about the Top 2 these days (except for Liverpool, we all love Liverpool) but the race for the other two “Moneybags” slots is still wide open….
As much as I don’t love to admit it, I think the Goonies are favorites for one of those spots, their away from might be as reliable as a chocolate fire guard but of the four, they do have the easiest run-in I feel, not Top 6 and I think after their next game against Wolves, nobody in the Top 10…
As for the other three, no idea what is going on with the Spuds, putting the Spuds back into Spudsy at the moment, YooUtd look like their new-manager bounce is a bit deflated, and Chelsea are doing a great impression of trying to put Chavski into Spudsy… no idea what is going on there!!

18th March 2019 at 12:14 pm #36095Arsenal have had somewhat of a surge. On 12th January they were just 2 points better off than at the same stage last season. They are now 12 points better off than at the same stage last season. Only Liverpool have a bigger improvement compared to last season. Though the surge may just be a temporary one and their form can still be erratic.
I think Chelsea might now be tempted to go for the EL as a pathway to the CL, which could help the other teams in the top 4 race, though they are still somewhat all over the place. The only reason Sarri is still in a job imo is because I really don’t think there’s anyone else available who could come in and significantly kick them on. There’s a real dearth of top managers available.
Spurs certainly need to shake themselves up a bit. Indeed the game with Liverpool will be a huge one for both sides because Spurs may have to go for it. But like Arsenal under Wenger for many years, you’d sense they’ll stilll probably be ok…just.
I think the fixture congestion is getting to Man Utd. So I wouldn’t hit panic stations just yet, but it’s certainly a testing time for them.
So I think both Spurs and Man Utd are the teams I’d go for at this stage to get top 4 because I think there is more natural fight in the two teams vs the rest (even if both teams have been in mixed form recently – I think it’s more down to injuries and fixture congestion getting to them).
Whereas Arsenal and Chelsea can still be erratic when you’re not necessarily expecting them to be._____________________________

18th March 2019 at 12:38 pm #36099Silly-Willy-Nilly, I just can’t wait, it’s going to look brilliant from my armchair!! 🙂
Serioulsy, it’s been a bloody pain in the Arsenal’s, this stadium, can only imagine the frustration the season ticket holders are going through. Looking forward to hearing the “roar” when Sir Harry pops it in the onion bag, going to be epic…
So 1-0 to Palace… 🙂

18th March 2019 at 1:25 pm #36105Considering the 634 restaurants the new gaff has, I’d think of something else…
Perhaps “about as rare as a thing called trophies”?

18th March 2019 at 2:17 pm #36119The only “thing” I think the Spuds might have an advantage with, and I’m grasping at straws here, is most of the 1st apart from Wee Erik (who’s playing like his had his head turned tbh!) have had a bit of a break during the course of the season, with pretty much all of them having an “injury” that’s given them a few weeks off… can’t think of a single player who hasn’t apart from Wee Erik…
