Adlab, for me if you have to get out of the way of the ball in the middle of the goal then you are interfering with play. The keeper has to make a decision based on the fact the player may touch the ball…..Pagan

Exactly as Pagan said. The only debate should of been was Sterling offside or not and I believe he was. Being right in front of the goalie with the ball passing you by millimeters then you are interfering with play.

Useless referee again. Second yellow for Fernandinho for nothing. What about that foul by Grealish that should have been a second yellow?

Turned it off so cant comment. But the yellow for Grealish was very harsh thought Sterling took a little tumble to con the ref. Since then he’s been targeted and Silva again tried to buy a yellow for him.

I dunno Adlab, seemed like a 2nd yellow to me. He let go of him but the damage was done. Uncharacteristically braindead move from fernandinho but come on, the ban is against Southampton. You could show up with 3 players and beat them. It really makes absolutely no difference. ye won and deserved to win. 3 points this week and 3 points next week.

The second yellow for Fernandinho which led to him being sent off looked very harsh to me.
I don’t think Sterling was offside for the second goal but arguably he was interfering with play.

As for the VAR, ya I think it should have been disallowed. Sterling absolutely is interfering with play and it seemed like he wqas offside the first time and he definitely was the 2nd potential time (is Silva touched it).

Adlab, and thereβs one of the major problems, VAR isnβt accurate enough for the ridiculous offsides it gives, but then it isnβt used for all cards, which could lead to game changing events. Fortunately today it didnβt affect the result, but in other games it may, and the suspensions or non suspensions could affect future games…Pagan

Might I ask what you think was harsh about the 2nd yellow, Nine? He’s made no effort to go for the ball, only has his mind set on stopping Villa from attacking by fouling him.
